While admittedly darker than the previous films, it is less action-packed and more subtext heavy. Jennifer Lawrence continues to stun and the films emotional impact will vary from person to person, but no one can deny the ambition and the beautifully quiet and quite melancholy final scene. What started out as a simple teen thriller series has evolved into a deep, complex and quite honestly not crowd pleaser like cautionary tale that beckons food for thought. No, I wasn't dazzled by the final installment or heavily thrilled, but I was left thinking about deeper topics and almost shed a tear of sadness at the final results of a franchise that always had something to say. It occasionally suffers from overwrought dialogue, but the tense atmosphere and performances, namely Benecio del Toro, make Sicario a riveting tale. Just don't look too into it as there isn't much under the hood. Rating: 73

Snoopy's escapades are the only overinflated parts of the film. The animation is splendid. A treat. Rating: 86

While the first half of the film works better than the second, there's no denying the amount of craft going on. The supporting cast is good despite not much to work with and the film is smart in the way it portrays science. However, Damon's character isn't fully fleshed out and their isn't much in the way of a heartwarming ending, but The Martian is a fun and entertaining two and a half hours. Rating: 82
