The film loses all it's potential when the conflict is resolved and another conflict is introduced. Warning Spoilers Ahead. At the end they discover the murder and find out that he isn't the real murder. At this point the conflict is switched from find the killer to find the girl. That's a major no no in screenwriting 101, stick to one story. Your basically watching two movies. Just because the books are good doesn't mean that the films are good. Another thing I didn't like was that they didn't use Lisbeth's hacking skills as much, so why introduce that she's a hacker? But getting to the good parts of the film because I do have some nice things to say. The best parts had to be the acting and directing. The acting alone was good enough to keep me interested. I also enjoyed the sex scenes between Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig. I didn't like the rape scene but what I noticed was that I wasn't disturbed at all even though a lot of people said they where. I guess I'm able to deal with disturbing situations easier then most people. This film is for those that liked the books or want to start reading them.
