Soul Man - PG-13 Despite the controversial premise, the movie has its funny moments - such as the scene where Howell does a Stevie Wonder impersonation - and manages to keep you giggling throughout. It's predictable right till the end, but it doesn't fail to entertain. January 20, 2009

Red Rock West - R An excellent, modern western with a good amount of twists and turns in the script to keep you guessing right till the end. Very unpredictable, very cool! Really enjoyed it! January 19, 2009

The Kingdom - R Gritty and realistic, but I thought the story was rather short and the movie ended prematurely. The climax comes in too easy and before you realise it, the movie is over. Still, worth a watch. January 18, 2009

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa - PG Much, much better than the first one. Actually, this is what should originally have been a part of the first movie, because I didn't like the way it ended. Escape 2 Africa completes the Madagascar story. January 16, 2009

The Fall - R This movie reminds us that movie making is an art. Tarsem Singh is an artist and this is his masterpiece. January 15, 2009

Madagascar - PG This movie feels incomplete and lacking in direction when you actually look back at the script. It's got a few good gags, Stiller and Rock are great, so are Cohen and the penguins, but nothing really interesting happens in the end. It's best to watch this movie and the sequel back to back, considering it as one whole movie. January 15, 2009

My Best Friend's Girl - R So, yeah, it's crass, crude and vulgar, but I never had a problem with that stuff anyway. The movie is really, really funny with a few totally unexpected elements thrown into what can otherwise be called a fairly mundane plot. Gotta watch! January 15, 2009

Meet Bill - R I went into this movie without trying to find out what it was all about, and I was pleasantly surprised with it. It was very funny, with a good plot and an excellent script to see it through. I was smiling right till the end and even after that! January 13, 2009

Transporter 3 - PG-13 Transporter 3 was AAAAAAWESOME!!!!!! AWESOME action! AWESOME cars! AWESOME script! AWESOME camera! AWESOME soundtrack! AWESOME Natalya Rudakova! :-) January 12, 2009

Yes Man - PG-13 A pleasant trip back to the days of Liar Liar and Bruce Almighty. I enjoyed the movie. In contrast with Fun with Dick and Jane (which didn't evoke even a shred of a smile from me), Yes Man has quite a few moments that would make you push the pause button, finish laughing and press the play button. Zooey Deschanel was awesome as usual! January 10, 2009

Teeth - R This was a rather disturbing movie, but I really found the concept very interesting. I wouldn't watch it again, but I'd recommend it. January 6, 2009

A Wednesday - Unrated I liked the concept, but the execution is appallingly bad. I've seen better acting and dialogue delivery in 90's porn flicks. Apart from Naseeruddin Shah, everyone else has put in one of their worst performances. So it starts off shit, goes on to do some more shit, then some interesting pre-climax stuff happens, and then you realise that there is no climax. January 4, 2009

The Invisible - PG-13 Good cinematography. I like the plot, but the script let me down. I had to fast-forward through most of he emo scenes with emo rock music in the back and no dialogue, but the soundtrack on the whole had a few interesting tracks. I don't think I'd recommend this movie to anyone. January 3, 2009

Flyboys - PG-13 This is a good looking movie - the cinematography is good and the dogfights are good - but it's got too basic a storyline to keep your interest for too long. It's not a bad watch, but it's probably not the best use of your time. January 3, 2009

Fred Claus - PG I generally like Vince Vaughn and most of the movies he's been in, and this is no exception. Vince and Paul are prefectly cast as the Claus brothers and so are Rachel and Kevin. While the plot is simple enough, it's still engaging and funny. It's a refreshing Christmas movie, if you're tired of the same old kiddy Santa Claus crap they belt out every year. January 1, 2009

Ghajini - Unrated Ghajini is the most chuttadh fucking movie I've seen in 2008. It is fucking retarded. Bad acting, bad script, bad camera, BAD BAD BAD!!!! The half star rating shall be equally divided between the attractive Asin and the sultry Jiah Khan. That's it. Everyone else FUCK OFF! January 1, 2009

Body of Lies - R A good, current espionage flick with good performances from the lead pair and a solid, plausible plot. Some great action and camera work too! December 31, 2008

Eagle Eye - PG-13 Not groundbreaking in any manner, but certainly very entertaining. The action scenes were well done and so were the effects. Can't comment much on the performances, but I guess they were okay for an action movie. A good weekend watch. December 26, 2008

Slumdog Millionaire - R Amazing movie! This is the cityI see everyday, but through the eyes of Boyle, it's still a whole new world for me. Excellent performances by everyone in the film, though I couldn't figure out why Jamal has a UK accent in the movie. He was only a chaiwala at a call centre, not an executive, right? Anyway, special compliments to the beautiful Freida Pinto, who I know personally. This is a debut most actors wouldn't be able to dream of! Congratulations! December 25, 2008

The Talented Mr. Ripley - R I didn't really like the way the story progressed, but I was entertained by most of the incidents in the movie. It's got a great cast and performances by them, but I thought it was a little too long and not satisfying enough in the end. November 23, 2008

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People - R I expected something as good as 'Run Fatboy Run' at least, if not as good as 'Hot Fuzz' and 'Shaun of the Dead', but what I got instead was 'The Devil Wears Prada' with a guy in the lead role. Pegg does bring his own crank to the character, but Dunst just killed whatever was left of the movie. November 13, 2008

Quantum of Solace - PG-13 There was a bit of a vacant feeling throughout the movie and the ending isn't exactly very climactic, but there's still enough action, adventure, some exotic and some not so exotic locations to keep you entertained. I wouldn't say this is a worthy sequel, but I wouldn't suggest avoiding it. November 7, 2008

Transsiberian - R Beautifully shot movie with some stellar performances by the central characters. The scenery along the route of the train is simply breathtaking. I want to go travel by the Trans-siberian railway now! I really enjoyed this movie. Must watch! November 3, 2008

Journey to the Center of the Earth (Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D) - PG I haven't read the book or seen any of the other movie iterations, but this was a pleasant journey from start to end, if you excuse that pun. November 1, 2008

Sleuth - R Excellent play-to-screen adaptation with a brilliant performance by the pair. This was a very different and very interesting movie! October 31, 2008
