This is by no means a perfect film, but it does a lot of things very well. The first is that it is classic Science Fiction mixed with a bit of Fantasy. The story is by no means original, you can compare it to Pocahontas or Dances With Wolves in space. But the planets, the creatures and the technology behind the film are original and groundbreaking. It is something that you will need to experience for yourself and don't listen to reviews. It was a very good film and entertaining, with great action sequences and a very good but familiar story.

This movie felt like a roller coaster ride from start to finish. It has everything you'd expect from a disaster movie, abundant CGI and same cliched characters and situations but it was very fun nonetheless. No boring moments and it was very well acted for a movie like this. Definitely better than The Day After Tomorrow which I found to be a bit fantastical if that's possible in films like these.
