Incredible adaptation of the graphic novel. I was scared that the Wachowski Bros. would drop the storyline in the detention center, but much to my delight, it became a centerpiece of the movie. I'm absolutely blown away by Portman's & Weaving's performances. Weaving brings so much to the character without ever being able to see his face. |

This movie came out of nowhere to become my favorite sci fi "chase" movie ever. The simplicity of the universe and storyline allows the viewer to concentrate on the interplay between characters. This movie was an absolute blast, and a breath of fresh air. I just wish that Chronicles of Riddick hadn't tried so hard to fit 3 movies worth of universe and story into one muddled movie. |

Well adapted from the graphic novel. The changes to the storyline are somewhat controversial, though they clarify some fuzzy parts of the original book. This movie touches my heart and the semi-open ending creates lots of good conversations. Touching...not your standard hollywood fare. And the special effects using oil emulsion blow me away! |
