Looking back at it now, I'm so glad I didn't waste my money to see this junk in the movie theater. Drawn out and tedious very, very boring at times and completely fake.
The story was good, the chemistry between all the actors was good, (Jerry Reed might be the greatest comic relief ever) and the soundtrack ("Eastbound and Down") was great.
Not as good as the original, while there is more action and emotion the story is weak. Really weak. There are so may plot-holes its mind-boggling. It almost feels like they weren't trying, like they just put a robot movie together with some gratuitous violence.
An awesome movie. The plot is well developed and because of the movies length is very deep and will suck you in. A relative cast of unknowns perform masterfully and the special effects will mesmerize anyone. Great movie, quite possibly the best super hero movie ever.
If I had to choose one phrase to describe this movie it would be: The bastardization of G.I. Joe. While the action scenes were amazing, and the cast was decent, the story for the most part lacked depth and intrigue. There was way too much CGI (come on Apache helicopters are real, no need to computer animate that) and the story veers away from the traditional joe plots by a mile. And to top it off, the Joe's squad isn't event American anymore! Complete bull if you ask me. I just hope they quit while they're ahead and don't make a sequel. Great job at killing one of my childhood memories.
