If you're not an idiot, we'll probably get on just fine. Lol, jk. I welcome f*ckwits as well. I'm not as mean as you think I am; I just have this great sarcastic and wonderfully dark sense of humour.

1.
Spirited Away (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi)
PG
Unforgettable characters; an original plot. Visual masterpiece. What more do you want? Extremely enjoyable.
2.
Snatch.
R
Guns; violence; cussing; Brits. What more do you want in a comedy? Unforgettable roles, and an even funnier unforgettable plot. What's not to love? In other words, this is easily my love-child with Guy Richie.
3.
Interview with the Vampire
R
Blood-sucking, semi-androgynous, and - let's face it, slashy - eye candy. Don't be greedy. Run with it.
6.
American History X
R
Initially, I was reluctant to see it, but boy, am I glad I did. Stark, gritty, and brilliant. Almost a 'coming-of-age' if Edward Norton weren't already in his prime.

The Dark Knight
by RachelYou either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. The Dark Knight has got to be the best film of 2008 by far. Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker has left me speechless, but I'll talk more about him later on.
Christian Bale reprises his role as Bruce Wayne/ Batman once again. He is now more in control of his alter ego. This time he joins forces with district attorney Harvey Dent doing the best he can do protect Gotham City from the criminal underworld. What's more to say for Bale? He was made to play Batman.
As for Maggie Gyllenhaal, she was definitely a better replacement for the wooden Katie Holmes, but I don't really think she suited the role. Also now seeing the finale of her character I would have preferred Holmes.
Now for the highlight of the film, Heath Ledger. His performance as the Joker was simply electrifying. Every word he said sent shivers done my spine. From his facial expressions, gestures and dialogue, he merely became the Joker. I will have to agree with a lot of reviews on here, Ledger definitely deserves an Oscar for this role. Now it's understandable that some might think of it as a sympathy vote, but if you've seen his performance in the film then there's nothing to argue there. He deserves the Oscar even if he was alive today. My favourite Joker scenes are when he crashes the party and tells Rachel about how he got his facial scars, The disappearing pencil trick (Who wouldn't love that scene?), and when he disguises himself as a nurse. The Joker sometimes reminded me of Tyler Durden from Fight Club, only more psychotic and with face paint.
Last but not least, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman were both respectively brilliant in their small but important roles in the film. Aaron Eckhart was also a nice addition to the cast and played Harvey Dent/ Two Face with ease.
So now to sum it all up, Christopher Nolan does it again folks. Full of non-stop action and great performances all round. I would go as far to say that I enjoyed it better than Batman Begins but hey, that's just me. The Dark Knight was a 2 and a half hour masterpiece which leaves you wanting more. Don't be left out and Believe the hype, go and see this at the theatres...NOW!
I went for the midnight screening on Saturday and it was a full house! An action packed summer Blockbuster.

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
by Ross"It's very impressive that a director can start making movies in the late 1950s - with the classic 12 Angry Man, as his very first I might add, - and 50 years on can make something as high in quality as Before The Devil Knows You?re Dead. It's a true testament for sticking to something you're good at for as long as you can and Lumet's dedication and experience serves him extremely well."

First, I want you to know that you are amazing, and I love you to death!!! If I don't get this back, I understand. But I have a game for you. Once you read this letter, you must send it to 14 people that you really care about, including the person that sent it to you. If you receive at least 7 back, then you are loved. Nobody knows what they have until they loose it. You never leave the person whom you love for the one you like, because that person who you like will leave you for the person whom they love. Tonight, right at 12:00am, your true love it is going to realize that they LOVE you! Then something is going to happen to you between 1:00 and 2:00 a.m. Tomorrow, be ready for the greatest shock of your life.
