NGE FTW! yes i am a neon genesis evangelion(NGE) fangurl, and so this review is biased and i wouldn't want it any other way. on a wee sidenote,the NGE series and movies will be one of the most thought provoking masterpieces u'll ever see.

a near masterpiece. the storyline alone is worthy enough for a viewing > a bullied 12 year old boy and a very old female vampire in the guise of a 12 year old "girl" fall in love, i mean seriously, can't get any better than that no? on a more serious note, the movie itself is beautifully directed, beautifully shot with a haunting score, some scenes will stay with you for a long long time. the two young leads are a force to be reckoned with, their chemistry being very evident the moment they meet. the subdued yet feral tone mesmerizes from start to finish
