Journey to the Center of the Earth (Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D)
Unrated
Well it's original in using 3D so I saw it for the FX kicks. Story, science, continuity etc leave quite a bit to be desired but then it looks packaged to preteen.
The Dark Knight
PG-13
Well Heath this is your movie, your legacy - Bravo! May you rest in peace. A dark movie, twisted as the Joker. A bit too dark for me, needed a bit of humour. Audio was off a bit too and some of the action sequences overcomplex. Overall fabulous though. Hats off to Chris Nolan for the last 2 Batman movies.
Wanted
R
Popcorn violence, wrong script for Freeman, relies too much on FX, but still somewhat entertains. As usual the morals are all wrong but then it is a graphic novel.
The Kite Runner
PG-13
The first 30 mins are slow and could be cut a bit. The story is fabulous if a little N American centric at the end. The book is likely even better
The Boondock Saints
R
I saw this with friends and mixed reactions. I enjoyed it and saw the humour. Dafoe is great, some hated him. A cult movie. Lots of discussion came from it.

Death at a Funeral

Oh my God! Side splitting. My wife laughed so hard I couldn't hear some of the sound track (LOL). Classic British farce is back. How do they think of all those turns? Great acting. Great story. Highly recommended if you have any British funny bones in you.
2.
The Sea Inside (Mar Adentro) (The Sea Within)
PG-13
A beautiful and powerfully moving story, wonderfully acted (in Spanish), much food for thought... but mostly it will move your heart. Way better than the Oscar "No Country"

Dark Star

An unforgettable hard to find gem. Full of spoofs and clever ideas.... some of which last forever.
