Come see this movie with me...nominated for 2006 oscar.very beautiful movie but there are some parts of the film that maybe we can consider it as a weakness because we see all we want to see.and in some parts director tries to make us cry but its funny that still we are happy because we see all we want.anyway the movie is great enough for ignoring these parts.i recommand to all

Come see this movie with me...i love lars von trier's movies because he challenges our moralities and our beliefs.he has a negative sight about people and world and i dont know maybe realistic.in some of his movies he portrays the humans as the Scariest thing in the world.his movies are too bitter and his golden palm winner movie dancer in the dark is the saddest movie that i've ever seen

I recommend you see...Did anyone else find the presence of a cat on board a spaceship disconcerting?
In Alien, you are able to see how sci-fi has evolved over the past three decades. Arguably this is one of the most satisfying combination of sci-fi and horror in the history of cinema. A must see!
Alien
by AmeetaThis was scary but insanely entertaining. Ridley Scott, in comparison to his work in Star Wars, the clean cut glamor disappears in admist of the claustrophobic spaceship. Its messy and gory. The visual artist H.R. Giger's gives us the alien and production design, and the film wouldnt have readily captivated the audiences attention nearly as successfully without it. However, the key to the excellence of the film is the casting. Sigourney Weaver was a knockout, in perhaps the defining role of her career, and one of the more admirable portrayals of a woman, she is in control. The ship is led by Dallas (Tom Skerrit) who in my opinion delivered his role superbly. Parker (Yaphet Kotto) and Brett (Harry Dean Stanton) are the engineers whose opinions dont really matter but are equally attention grabbing.

Dallas: Something has attached itself to him. We have to get him to the infirmary right away.
Ripley: What kind of thing? I need a clear definition.
Dallas: An organism. Open the hatch.
Ripley: Wait a minute. If we let it in, the ship could be infected. You know the quarantine procedure. Twenty-four hours for decontamination.
Dallas: He could die in twenty-four hours. Open the hatch.
Ripley: Listen to me, if we break quarantine, we could all die.
Lambert: Look, could you open the god-damned hatch? We have to get him inside.
Ripley: No. I can't do that and if you were in my position, you'd do the same.
Dallas: Ripley, this is an order. Open that hatch right now, do you hear me?
Ripley: Yes.
Dallas: Ripley. This is an order. Do you hear me?
Ripley: Yes. I read you. The answer is negative.posted 253 days ago -
Come see this movie with me...with no doubt a mesterpiece.first of all i should say that the last movie of ingmar bergman in first 120 minutes was kinda boring and pointless but when i watched the last 60 minutes i noticed that every single scene from the beginning till the end was meaningful

Come see this movie with me...paul thomas anderson definitely is one of the most talented directors and writers and boogie night is my favorite anderson's movie. the important point about anderson's works specially this one is, his refusing to make a moving and heartbreaking film and insists the bitterness be as deep as possible by using fast edition and proper music and funny moments

I recommend you see...This is an old classic, 1940's. The era it was set in is significant because it is incredibly forward thinking for its period, yet it deals with struggles that seem to be timeless. Ginger Rogers won an Academy Award for Best Actress for playing the title character. Worth watching.
Kitty Foyle: The Natural History of a Woman
by AmeetaIn my favorite narrative style, the story is told in a series of flashback as Ginger engages in some dialog with her alter ego in a mirror. Kitty is confronted by her two suitors, both of whom propose to her at the same time. Wynn, is a Philadephia millionaire whilst Mark is a doctor. This scenario in her life begins a contemplating what she should do, thus, the mirror debate with herself proved to be very effective. The onscreen chemistry between Ginger Rogers and Dennis Morgan is unique and very much evident. Im not going to pretend that i know who the director, Sam Wood was, but he made this film work for me. Brilliant.
Wyn Strafford: Until you can get another job...
Kitty Foyle: What do you mean?
Wyn Strafford: Why don't I just keep you on the payroll? It's no more than fair -
Kitty Foyle: Just a minute, Wyn. You needn't worry about me. I'm free, white and 21... almost. And I'll go on loving you from here on out... or until I stop loving you. But nobody owes a thing to Kitty Foyle, except Kitty Foyle.posted 258 days ago -

Come see this movie with me...an unpredictable britsh thriller
always movies that break genre's limitations are my favorites.movies that we cant put them in particular genre and its a big success.independent films usually have a preference over hollywood products because they dont obey common cliches.but its not always a bonus because all the cliches and formula arent bad and some part of the film could be betterposted 259 days ago -
I recommend you see...Overall, enjoyable, and void of the usual 'So children, the moral of the story is...' nonsense that we have come to expect from movies like this.
Monsters vs. Aliens
by AmeetaEnjoyable enough to sit through. Not much of a 3D experience. Quite disapointing really. Had its funny moments though. I liked the characters the most; Susan(voiced by Reese Witherspoon) was realistic and presentable to the audience as the main hero who saves America from alien invasion(im so glad its a woman, ha). Hugh Lauren being the mad scientist turned into cockroach, and the gelatinous blob, Bob (voiced by Seth Rogen). Overall, enjoyable, and void of the usual 'and the moral of the story is...' nonsense that we have come to expect from movies like this.
Commander: Don't push that button.
The President of the United States: Why not? This is the coffee button.
Commander: No that launches every missile we have.
The President of the United States: Which one is the coffee button then?
Commander: The one on the right.
The President of the United States: That's right.posted 262 days ago -
I recommend you see...Not into anime? well anime becomes an even more respected media with the release of Akira. Next on my must see list is Ghost in the Shell.
Akira
by AmeetaKaneda: Come on... don't they say the only foolish questions are unasked ones?
Akira is a manga series by Katsuhiro Otomo and was the highest-budget anime film ever produced of the time. The story of Akira takes place in the year 2038 in Neo-Tokyo, which was built over the ruins left from where a nuclear bomb impacted during World War III. The significant characters are Kaneda and Tetsuo. Kaneda, a leader of a motorcyle gang, and his best friend is Tetsuo. Brilliant and captivating to watch when considered from every aspect.
Anime becomes an even more respected media with the release of Akira. Next on my must see list is Ghost in the Shell.
Kaneda: What's wrong? Have some trouble?
Tetsuo: Yeah. But I already took care of it. And you're too late, you missed the show.
Kaneda: Tetsuo, you had me worried again. I figured you'd be standing here sobbing like a little baby.
Tetsuo: Kaneda, you've always been a pain in the ass, y'know. You've been telling me what to do since we were kids. You always treat me like a kid. You always show up and start bossing me around, and don't you deny it!
Kaneda: And now you're a boss, too... of this pile of rubble.
Tetsuo: KANEDA!
Kaneda: That's Mr. Kaneda to you, punk!
Tetsuo: DIE!posted 264 days ago -
I recommend you see...Have you seen this? Excellent, im glad to have you on my friends list ^.^
Havent seen this? why?! Not a Bryan Singer fan?
The Usual Suspects
by AmeetaThe millon dollar question, who is Keyser Soze? from what i gathered.. "a myth, a spook story that criminals tell their kids at night" well at first anyway.
Plot: A crime is committed, and five suspects are roped in for questioning.
Gabriel Byrne is Dean Keaton, the corrupt cop who is trying to go straight. He is the most dodgy character, so naturally, the mind thinks he is the most plausible suspect. Kevin Spacey, plays Verbal Kint, his performance as the cripple member of the highly capable team deservedly won him his first Oscar. The other Oscar from this went to the screen writer Christopher McQuarrie for the sheer brilliance of the screenplay. Benicio Del Toro, Kevin Pollak, Chazz Palminteri and Pete Postlethwaite, kudos to all of you for your contribution to my newly favorited movie. Apart from the brilliant cast, the way the film is delivered is very favorable to me. The story is delivered mostly in narration by Verbal, in a series of flashbacks in a cops office. To be perfectly honest, the narrative makes the movie experience even better.
Verbal: The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he did not exist. And like that... he is gone
This movie relies heavily on how much attention you pay and what stereotypes you form from your own deductions. Although i figured out the end before it came, it was amusing to watch the complexity roll out slowly as the story developed through its characters.
Kobayashi: One cannot be betrayed if one has no people.
Verbal: McManus came to us with the job, Fenster got the vans, Hockney supplied the hardware, I came through with how to do it so no one got killed, but Keaton... Keaton put on the finishing touch. A little 'fuck you' from the five of us to the NYPD.
Convince me.posted 264 days ago -

Come see this movie with me...although it was kinda disappointing but still its a worthy entertainment.maybe bryan singer wasnt a good choice for directing this film although he is talented but he is a good action/thriller director and lack of drama was the main weakness of the film and some part of the film everything happens so fast even the ending that could be the best part.and also it was a good opportunity for tom cruise to play a different role but he couldnt success

I recommend you see...An adaptation of a Ruth Rendell novel, Chabrol gives us suspense/almost thriller French film noir. A sinister exploration into the darker side of human nature- Im interested in watching his work in Merci Pour Le Chocolat after seeing this. Worth giving a shot so that you can see Benoît Magimel before his work in Fair Play.
