I recommend you see...This was shown as part 2 of a Quentin Tarantino written double bill, and was definitely the better of the 2 movies.
Despite most of the big-named cast having very little time in this movie (Gary Oldman only having 2 scenes in the entire movie, Samuel L Jackson on screen for 2 minutes tops, Christopher Walken having one scene in the movie etc.), it's still a definite must-see movie.
True Romance
by IainAnother great film penned by Tarantino, this tells the story of a escort girl Alabama and comic book store worker Clarence (Patricia Arquette and Christian Slater) who find true love in each other after she is set up with him by a friend of his. Deciding to flee after Clarence has a run in with one Alabama's pimp Drexl Spivey (Gary Oldman), they take a suitcase with half a million dollars worth of raw, uncut cocaine with them to Los Angeles to try and sell it, despite having a mob from Detroit (led by Christopher Walken) as well as the LAPD on their tails. They find Clarence's friend Dick (Michael Rapaport) who helps them find a buyer for their cocaine through a friend high up in the movie industry.
A huge cast and Tarantino's story makes it another modern classic.posted 533 days ago -
Come see this movie with me...I saw this as part 1 of a Quentin Tarantino written double bill, and I'd highly recommend it, despite being the weaker of the two moviesshown that night.
A fantastic cast, including Woody Harrelson and Juliette Lewis as the fictional Bonnie and Clyde of the story help keep the viewers watching the movie. Tommy Lee Jones makes the most of what little time he has on screen and Robert Downey Jr's at his best. Be warned though, it's for people with strong stomachs only, and definitely not something you should see while drunk/stoned/tripping.
Natural Born Killers
by IainAn ultra-violent modern classic, it goes all out with the bloodshed, especially in telling the backstories of the two main characters who, despite being evil personified, we're made to feel sympathy for in the second half of the movie after spending the first half murdering everyone who gets in their way. When in prison for most of the second half of the movie, the TV media glorifying their brutal mudering spree are shown as the real villains of the story as they look for ratings, little knowing that the situation will turn against them when taking their endorsement of the killers one step further.

I recommend you see...Hey, you should see this if it's your kind of thing, or if you saw the Ang Lee movie from a few years ago.
It's not the best movie this summer, but it's not as bad as some of the crap from last summer.
The Incredible Hulk
by IainA decent movie, not as good as the likes of Iron Man, but not as bad as Fantastic Four or Spidey 3. Good storyline, decent animation, Ed Norton on good form as Bruce Banner. Definitely worth seeing if you want to erase the memory of the 2003 Hulk movie, but the only real problem is the casting of Tim Roth. He plays a great villain at the best of times, but he's a not really tough guy material. Watch for the huge spoiler before the end credits that links with Iron Man's ending scene.

I recommend you see...In the spirit of stealing other people's ideas, stop sending me widgets. Seriously. No more. I don't want them. I don't pay attention to them. They make my computer lag. They're annoying. I'm sick of them. It's over. Please respect my wishes. Thank you.

I recommend you see...Hey, you should really see this if you like zombie films and especially Romero's back catalogue of movies.
Diary of the Dead
by Iain40 Years on from Night of the Living Dead, Romero shows he can still make a great zombie movie. Shot through 2 video cameras, Cloverfield style, but without the shakiness that left a few people with a bad case of motion sickness, 'Diary...' tells the story of a university class making a horror movie when an outbreak of the recently deceased coming back to life occurs, before spreading worldwide. Again, like the rest of his movies, Romero shows the importance of pact mentality between the human characters before dealing with the zombies. Wes Cravn can be seen in a blink and you'll miss it cameo as a man in the warehouse giving weapons and supplies to the students, and some of the zombie kills make this ultra-violent, as well as tense and suspenseful. Proof that George A. Romero is still the king of horror.
