Some laughs but nowhere near as funny as I had been led to believe. At this point in his career, as long as Jim Carrey isn't making The Number 23, people are going to say this is his funniest since (fill in the blank).

A true American remake: 1. Remove all traces of subtlety. 2. Ruin all of the scares with flash cuts and CG. 3. Throw in an unnecessary explosion.

Wow. I love, love love this movie. So you tell me: Do the future scenes actually happen? This narrowly outweighs The Departed as best of 2006 as far as I'm concerned. Fun fact: The movie Posiedon was nominated for visual effects, but the no CG methods of The Fountain were ignored by the Academy. Next thing you know they'll nominate Mark Wahlberg over Jack Nicholson in The Departed...oh.

This couldn't be better.
