Grease (1978,  PG)

Koff Koff....This is my favorite movie of any genre of any kind of all time. It is the reason I grew sideburns. The cast had excellent chemistry. The songs are a part of history. I saw the musical and still like the film better. My favorite character is Rizzo. When I first saw it, I thought there was nothing cooler than singing and dancing in a black leather jacket. Twenty nine years later, I still do. Grease is the word.

The Phantom of the Opera 5.0 Stars
I have seen the musical, loved it, but I loved the movie too. Joel Schumacher did a great job. Gerard Butler was incomparable.

AH-GUH! No words to describe the BEST COMIC BOOK MOVIE! The story was thrilling and riveting, all the characters were fleshed out organically. Great turn by Gary Oldman as Gordon. Sorry Jack, but Heath out did your Joker by a mile and then some. Some might have thought it too long, but I didn't want it to end.

This was the last movie I cried at...not counting Finding Nemo. I was young and the Transformers were my world at the time...to see Optimus die was tragic. All in all my favorite animated film.

Most comedy troops don't translate well to screen, but Kids did an exceptional job.

This movie is my favorite action movie. It almost plays as a parody of the Die Hard films.

One of those movies you break out when the guys are over. Loaded with machismo and stupid attitude. Kung Fu fighting with a feathered highlighted mullet? Whats not to love?

Well thought out. Well plotted and shows a unique understanding of the relationship between good and evil. Also everyone gives an outstanding performance.

Die Hard (1988,  R)
Die Hard 5.0 Stars
This is THE action movie. Mind you, my favorite action movie of all time is The Last Boy Scout, but Die Hard redefined the action movie. Alan Rickman was just as impressive villian as Bruce Willis was a hero. This was missing and replaced by a sidekick in the following sequels. Up until this time, you had bodybuilders running around in camo never getting shot or hurt. Die Hard showed a human fallibility with its hero which made him more accessible and therefore more relateable. Yippie Kay Yah!
