Once Upon a Time in America - R Once Upon a Time in America, which bookends Once Upon a Time in the West as director Sergio Leone's best work, is a powerhouse of a movie.
a really fantastic and such a breath taker film that holds the attention.
It is not too long! Not if you get into it! If you are bored of the movie then yes, it will seem long. But this is the kind of movie that you have to get in to and pay attention to, to like.

Gia - R A tremendous biography of a supermodel, Gia Carangi. Her beauty graced magazines profusely in the late 70's. She knew as a little girl just how attractive she was. Her short life dealt with defiance of authority, lesbianism, love/hate relationships, drug addiction and AIDS.
Angelina Jolie was excellent as Gia. Her profanity, nudity and lesbian love scenes scorch the screen. Ranking among the best on film. Also in this eye opener is Elizabeth Mitchell, Mercedes Ruehl and Faye Dunaway.

Frida - R This film, based on the biography of Frida Kahlo by Hayden Herrera, is a masterpiece; is a rich and passionate account of two celebrated Mexican artists, whose lives were bound up with major events of the 20th century-the Mexican and Russian Revolutions... The film takes us at the center of the art world in one of the most tumultuous alliance between two painters, an alliance filled with joy and heartbreak, love and betrayal... July 12, 2007

Fight Club - R The script was tight, the theme fascinating, the acting incredible (especially Edward Norton, as one might expect), the direction inspired, and the cinematography stunning. It is one of the few films of the past five years that deserves to be seen multiple times. In fact, if you have seen it only once, you have missed something. I was seriously hoping the movie would receive Oscar nominations for Best Actor (Norton), Best Screenplay, Best Cinematography and Best Picture. July 12, 2007

Gladiator - R The movie is the story of Maximus (Crowe), a general who leads the Roman army to victory over Germania in the beginning of the movie. I especially enjoyed the mood of the film. July 12, 2007
