Fave book of all time, and this movie is gonna have my fave actor of all time!!!!! HAVE TO SEE!!!!!!!!!!

The Da Vinci Code

This movie has been universally slammed by critics, calling it slow and a bad adaptation. Calling Tom Hank's portrait of Robert Langdon wooden. I am very surprised by these reviews. So much so that I am going to go through their points one by one.

Firstly, Tom Hank?s portrayal of Robert Langdon was exactly what I expected after reading the book. This character is supposed to be a college professor, an academic. He is not supposed to be a glib action hero. He is meant to be a scholar thrown out of his depth into a mystery beyond his control. His portrayal was excellent given the character he had to work with.

As for the movie being slow, the book was a gripping read but while having its action moments, it for the most part was a slowly played out mystery. If they had cut all of this out and made it fast paced it would not longer have been the book that millions around the world loved.

Ron Howard did a fantastic job with the movie adaptation of this controversial book. This is a movie that due to the popularity of the book would have drawn complaints no matter who it was done by or by how it was handled. I think he did a fantastic job and I hope that he directs the adaptation of Dan Brown's first Robert Langdon book ("Angels and Demons") if it is ever to be brought to the silver screen.

Even though I knew what was coming, I was on the edge of my seat throughout the movie. A special note should be made of Paul Bettany's portrayal of the albino Silas. He did a fantastic job. When I heard the movie was being made I was worried about the casting of this part, but my fears were unwarranted.

The Mummy

Brendan Fraser is so talented and hot and Rachel Weisz is extremely talented. I loved this movie because i love love love things about Egypt and hieroglyphics and also cos brendan fraser was in it (obviously)
Favourite movie of all time!!!

Also, the twist of it. When those Majii people get involved. I love that.

GREAT PISSA MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the only thing wrong is when the birth starts -_- but i couldnt stop laughing my head off i was crying by the end coz i laughed too much lol
