Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - PG-13 The fith book is easily the longest and hearing it was the shortest film gave me an unpleasent surprise. The film passed by however, with great visual effects -especially those at The Department of Mysteries.

SPOILERS follow.....

However, to cut lessons out of the film almost completely, and only have them serve for inspection was a mistake in my opinion. Hogwarts is a school, and a schools schedule consists of mainly lessons. Also I am pretty sure, that Firenze is employed in Book 5, and teaches divination. I was quite keen to see the way he taught divination, the book makes it sounds quite interesting.

SPOILERS if you haven't read beyond book 5...

I guess theregoing to miss it out completely as Firenze doesn't play a very big role in Book6 even though he continues to teach divination.

Otherwise an okay film, but not the best of the HP movies. I felt the change from the detail (exact wording in the book) at the beginning to skipping over parts of the story later on made a very weak structure. But it was an enjoyable watch, and the visual effct were amazing.

Disturbia - PG-13 Sounds very much like Hitchcock's Rear Window, but then nothing's new anymore.

I guess I should give it a go?

Spider-Man 3 - PG-13 Spiderman 3 was amazing. It was the first of the three Spiderman films I've seen, but I had no trouble following the storyline, etc. It's been slated for a number of reasons, but taking this critisicm into account (moi? I don't think it's true) I reccomend it to anyone, Spidey fan or not.

PRO'S: Great special effects. Although SFX can ruin a movie it can also enhance it and i think it did incredibly well here.
For instance the sandman is uber cool. My favourite part is when the father is dissolved into particles by that machine, and then reforms into the sandman.

I love the Spidey effects too. :)

Of course Spiderman is ultra cool. Whatevers your opinions on 'venom' I thought it was really good. Though I was a bit freaked out by that gross thing that Eddie turned into.

CONS: I know that Peter Parkers emotional life is important but MJ seriously annoys me. It's not the actual relationship that irritates me, as that is an important factor in the story and Spiderman would have no inner goal without MJ. But does she have to be so - grr... Marey Janey??

El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) - R Amazing, but as foretold violent and gruesome. Brilliant story however. Would reccomend it to anyone who enjoys stuff like this.

Rope - PG My parents have told me about this and this guy at the SFS has reccomended it.
It sounds like Hitchcocks going ambitious - but he's not called the master of suspense for nothing.

Rear Window - PG Incredibly clever.
The film is filmed from one room throughout the whole film and the fact is unnoticable.

The Music of Shrek 2 - Unrated Thecover version of Changes (Bowie) was crass (to be blunt). However, it says David Bowie is starring so maybe in this the songs the real thing (hopefully!) If so I do want to see it as I di enjoy the film otherwise. Antonio Banderas is a legend as Zorro and now Puss in Boots. March 1, 2007

Labyrinth - PG Astounding!
Played way past expectations. Me and my sister didn't say a word all through the first half (thats quite something as my sister can't stop talking in films)
Jareth - the goblin king is by far my favourite character.

The Mask of Zorro - PG-13 Fave writers on the proj so how could it fail? Terry Rossio and Ted Elliot do it again, and the trustworthy puss in boo... oops - Antonio Banderas pulling off a great Zorro. February 24, 2007

Krrish - Unrated My second Bollywood film, the first with subtitles. If you think they'll be offputting - they don't distract at all. Longer than most films I found that an advantage as I got more of the movie.

I am looking forward to the upcoming sequel (Krrish 2) and haven't yet watched Koi Mil Gaya.
