Braveheart (1995,  R)
Braveheart
Arguably one of the best movies of all time. This was Mel Gibson in his prime.
2
V for Vendetta (2006,  R)
V for Vendetta
A chilling commentary on society. Had a great story with great characters and one of the best fight sequences with knives ever. Natalie was also brilliant, but no surprise there!
3
Blood Diamond (2006,  R)
Blood Diamond
I never realized how brilliant an actor DiCaprio was until I saw him in Blood Diamond and The Departed. Props to Hounsou as well. Blood Diamond was an epic movie. It's hard to find an action movie with a great story. The action never stopped, yet it never overpowered the story either. With a society so focused on "bling" nowadays, this movie strives to open your eyes to the costs and sacrifices made for such things. Everyone should see this movie.

Live Free or Die Hard
A simple phrase sums it up: Yippie-kay-yay motherfucker! Bruce Willis is back as John McClane and as badass as he was nearly 20 years ago. Almost non-stop action with good special effects that weren't too over-the-top. The chase scene with the F35 is an instant classic (and yes, people, that plane can actually hover like that). Overall, a must-see for any Die Hard fan and/or Willis fan!
