I AM IN POSESSION OF A BLOCK BUTTON AND A REPORT BUTTON. I USE THEM. AND I ONLY NORMALLY ADD PEOPLE WHO SEEM GENUINE, HAVE A "BELIEVEABLE" DISPLAY PICTURE, WHO HAVE THE BASICS FILLED IN (INCLUDING ABOUT ME) AND DON'T JUST PUT "GREAT" OR LEAVE UNRATED IN MOVIE RATINGS. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! ![]() WWW.MYSPACE.COM/LUNATTYART - ADD ME PLEASE! Hey there! I'm Lu and I like my movies. But I also like other stuff too! I'm a fan of martial arts and I'm a BLACK BELT in Choi Kwang Do/KMA and have been practising for about 5 + years now. I love music. I'm a fan of Alice Cooper (great live), Rob Zombie, Nickelback (seeing in September yay!), Rammstein Guns and Roses, The Birthday Massacre, Franz Ferdinand, Metallica and many many more. I'm actually into anything as long as it's got a good beat and doesn't depress me too much. Oh and UK gladiators kick ass. I still like the original version, but the 08 version is great too. And yes, I like Doctor Who, Emmerdale, Only Fools and Horses, Man About the House, Keeping Up Appreances, Open All Hours (Ronnie Barker is bloody brilliant), The Two Ronnies, Robin's Nest and the UK Apprentice (with S'Alan the little Panda Bear man). I enjoy relaxing and chilling out and I enjoy photography and would be quite happy spending my life taking photos of anything and everything. Want to know more? If you have myspace add me either on: www.myspace.com/lulusuperboots or www.myspace.com/lunattyart I'm on facebook, just install Mafia Wars and find me there. And I'm on flickr.com somewhere too. Oh dear oh dear where do I start?
Someone is on the path to being destroyed via assassination by person X.
Person X then goes after boring guy, person A. Person A is a boring, long bullied-by-boss, panic striken, I've been cheated on by my girlfriend by my best mate sort. Person A however is protected by Fox (Angelina Jolie), and brought into a cult where he meets other people who have an amazing ability to see things in slow motion, bend bullets and are highly capable of killing (the assassination fraternity).
Anyway, Person A gets really dented but trained to be a killer by the fraternity. A magical loom is used by the Fraternity to kill people (as in fate). It turns out however that Person A has to kill person X as person X killed person A's father.
Lost yet?
Anyway, person A goes after person X actually unaware that Person X is person A's real father and that the fraternity just want to kill him off.
Anyway, person A kills person X only realising what he's done in the dying moments of person X. Person A then vows revenge and attacks the fraternity with a rubbish collector lorry and invades it with bomb fitted rats.
Clever huh?
Well then there comes a gory conclusion where Morgan Freeman's character escapes. Freeman then decides to go to Person A's original life and gloat before killing. But guess what?
The overall conclusion is exactly the same as the start. Person A is actually hiding a million blocks away with a super sniper rifle ready aimed at Freeman's character's head. The bloke in the office is a decoy and then kaboom, Freeman's head gets blown off.
I felt this movie went on way too long, Jolie was too much like the Croft character and certain parts like when Person A gets brought into this cult, it wasn't explained properly.
However, this movie was good with the slow down, bullet rewind parts, had good special effects and the portrayal of the boss as a bitch was quite funny.
Also, the fight scenes were good, bloody, but good and it generally kept your interest.
Like the Indiana Jones and the Crystal skull film, I wouldn't rate it as very poor, as it wasn't. I felt like some things were really unrealistic, but not too bad...
... However, I wouldn't say this film was groundbreaking or lived up to the hype surrounding it. Therefore, I give this film three stars.

Hancock
PG-13
A very good film. From the start, it had me and my friend in stiches. There was plenty of laugh out loud bits, plenty of bits that made you go ooooo and even had a sprinkling of drama in a high speed style movie.
Fantastic special effects, brilliant acting and it never seemed to make you bored and wish it was over.
I would definitely buy this on DVD and watch it more than once.
I don't think it's particulary groundbreaking but it's mainly feelgood.
So I give this 4 stars.
Rambo (Rambo IV)
R
OK, OK, I still reckon our Sylve's a bit too old, but for an old dude he didn't do too badly.
This film makes Rambo come back to the jungle of Myanmar, where, to be frank, it isn't very nice; where he has to find and save some missionaries.
There's a load of military dudes who roam this land though who weren't over keen on their people.
There's many scenes of totrure, especially in the muddy lake with some land mines and when some soldiers on Rambo's side are captured along with missionaries.
It's bloody and it's brutal and if you don't like guts, gore and violence then you shouldn't be watching it; considering that you can see "peoples'" heads getting blown off through a rifle.
But if you have a strong stomach and have seen the previous Rambo movies (you'll know what to expect anyway!), then you should give this movie a shot.
It's just a shame that I've caught it on DVD instead of at the cinema. :(
Plot = to the point and doesn't hold many stupid twists and turns.
Characters = strong and well acted, although there's one soldier who's continous use of "fuck" really grated my nerves after a while.
Effects = loads of blood and gore, in line with previous movies and fits this film well. Also, the tomato sauce budget seemed realistic and when people got shot, they didn't get up again like they sometimes do in other movies.
So overall, I give this movie a rating of 4 stars. Worth seeing again and again, although it might not appeal to many weak guts out there.

Saw III

A very sick and twisted movie. From the start, if you're into slasher gory horror stuff, you know you're in for a good movie. The first man is chained up and has to rip his flesh open to even attempt to stop the bomb from exploding.
However, he doesn't sort it in time and the cops turn up to work on his death. The detective then gets kidnapped and tortured to death by acid.
Then a woman called Lynn, who works at a hospital also gets abducted, but not tortured to death like the others. The only way she can stay alive is by keeping Jigsaw's tumour under wraps and keep him alive, otherwise a device fitted by psychopath Amanda goes boom into her neck.
But as the story progresses, you find out that Amanda wasn't always the mad woman that she is now.
Another guy, Jeff is also abducted and has to face a series of tests to claim "vengence self service" to whoever mowed over and killed his son.
Jeff is full of anger and rage (cue icky pig grinder and judge) and gets through the tests, only after seeing some horrific and torturous deaths.
But there's more in store! There's a link between Lynn and Jeff. Can you guess it? And if that wasn't enough, do they all pass their tests?
It had me on the edge of my seat, and I really enjoyed this film. Although I am now turned off pigs for life and have the dude in the 360 twisting rack in my mind (lol), I think that if you are not of a nervous disposition you should really check out this movie.
No major special effects, but it's creepy enough and has a decent enough plot for me to give it four and a half stars.

Diary of the Dead
by TaniaPretty watchable movie.
And quite easy to review also.
Wanna bet?
- Sudden zombie boom;
- film students catching zombies on camera;
- zombies roaming around all over the place;
- film students running away from zombies while catching them on camera;
- normal people turning into zombies;
- film students witnessing normal people turn into zombies while catching them on camera;
- ...
... And so on and so forth.
It's not a great film, as you may suspect already, but it isn't all that bad either.
The amateur camera work adds a nice touch to it. Makes it feel a little different from other zombie movies and a bit more realistic.
As far as realism can go in this genre, that is.
But, yeah, the directing style helped the rating a great deal. And considering that I only gave it 3 stars... You can imagine how it isn't such a must-see movie.Watch it only if you have a tendency for enjoying movies with an amateur filming style.
If you don't, then there's a pretty good chance you'll hate it.
And if, on top of that, you don't usually tend to care for regular zombie movies all that much either... Then there's a pretty good chance you'll end up slitting your wrists halfway through it.posted 3 days ago -

Halloween (2007)
by TaniaPretty interesting to follow the life story of an emerging sociopath such as Myers.
This is exactly what captivated me the most in this film: the chance to follow the evolution of one of the most mind-blowing psychopathologies in the history of mankind. (Well, at least in my book it is a very mind-blowing one.) Here we get the chance to take a peek at its implications while it is still in a sort of incubation stage. While the child is still discovering his abnormal anti-social tendencies as well as his compelling urge to slice open every breathing being.
And although I wouldn't have minded witnessing the whole thing right from the very start (right since the moment that little psycho brat was born), Myers' already a young man when the movie begins. Pitty! But the way this story is portrayed, I guess watching him in his earlier years wouldn't be much of a help when it comes to shed some light on his condition.
And it is in fact the whole story behind the main character that makes this movie worthwhile. Not the chills (which are very few), not the bloody scenes, not the suspense,... Nothing like that. It's really not all that scary to watch. But it is rather unsettling, though. At least until Myers grows up, that is. Then it's just like all the other horror movies portraying serial killers. Nothing new in that department.
Still, the first half makes up perfectly for the 'been there, done that' rest of the film.Can you imagine what would be like to have a child like that?
Well, take a look and decide for yourself.
I say it would be a bitch to find enough room for all the pets in the backyard.
And I don't mean above the ground.posted 4 days ago -
Rome is brilliant, and indeed on the way to naples, which is on the way to pompeii which is where vesuvius is. It's all very haunting there

Dan in Real Life
by TaniaMeh... Too sweet for my taste.
But I'm not gonna say it's a bad movie. I'm sure you'll love it, if by any chance you're into this sort of films.
And Carell is quite funny as this 'How the hell am I supposed to deal with these teenage girls who happen to be my daughters' kind of father. I personally liked him better on the Daily Show, but I must admit he doesn't do bad here either.
This was a first for me, you know? I mean, watching him perform in a movie. And I was quite pleased to find his talent for comedy is still in shape.
But as it turns out, it wasn't enough to win me over. The romance factor is too much of a presence and spoils just about any laughs Carell's silliness may provide.
And besides, Binoche's being part of the cast didn't help all that much either. I don't know why, but that woman really gets on my nerves sometimes. I think maybe it's because of her annoying naive look and persistent silly-cute smile. A real pćozinho sem sal as they say in my country.
Roughly translating it, a real tiny bread without salt.
What?
It makes sense where I come from.Average romance/drama/comedy.
