Låt den Rätte Komma In (Let the Right One in) - R Sweden's take on the teen/vampire/romance genre. This movie remembers that vampires are dangerous bloodsucking killing machines. The plot builds slowly...carefully, but the payoff is worth it. Whether you're on the Twilight bandwagon or not, this one is worth seeing. February 17, 2009

Everything is Illuminated - PG-13 I probably would have liked this movie better if I hadn't read the book. All of my favorite parts of the book were omitted, but frankly I can see why. The old stories from Trachimbrod would have wreaked havoc on this little film's budget. The book is AMAZING...the movie is okay. January 13, 2009

Enchanted - PG If I had kids, I think they'd enjoy this. It was tongue-and-cheek enough without getting too sarcastic. It remained true to the disney form but brought it into the 20th century. November 11, 2008

Pineapple Express - R Stoners with guns. Pretty funny, but if you're sober, you really need to suspend your disbelief for some parts. October 25, 2008

August Rush - PG A must-see for music lovers. At times, the plot is implausible and sometimes it drags. But overall, this is a beautiful imaginative movie that explores the nature of music and love. October 12, 2008

The Dark Knight - PG-13 Not just a great comic-book film...a great film. The darkest Batman yet brings into question the very ideas of heroism and vigilantism and portrays the Joker as a Nihilistic Terrorist with no goal other than the disruption of the orders imposed on us by society. Heath Ledger's final performance is the one he will be remembered for. July 20, 2008

Southland Tales - R Um...there were some cool concepts and some interesting scenes, and it was clever to have so many snl alums playing serious roles, but in the end I have to say I was disappointed...the story never lets the audience in.

Also, it was kinda creepy that they set it a dystopian future...2008.

The Incredible Hulk - PG-13 This was really fun. Ed Norton was great as banner. Liv Tyler was beautiful as usual and Tim Roth made a a believable villain. The story concentrates on Banner learning to control the Hulk inside him and "aim it" when needed. Actually the most exciting part of the movie was the teaser at the end when Tony Stark hints about the Avengers Project. July 13, 2008
