This is the worst movie I have ever seen. Ever. The plot was laughable, and the scene where a woman's head explodes because it was hit by a basketball? Ridiculous. There might possibly be some camp value in the whole thing, but really... it was terrible. Zero stars.
Great for a family movie, lots of jokes to do with fairytales obviously.... which means that most of the humour everybody in the family can understand, and the rest is just innuendo but not really stupid obvious stuff. Good humour, good cast, good movie all around.
Definitely interesting. I felt for all the main characters, and Justin Timberlake didn't ruin the movie. I kind of forgot who he was, he played such a convincing young screwup. Christina Ricci was of course awesome, and kind of disturbing, in her role. Samuel L. Jackson was better in this than anything else of his I've seen this year... And altogether it was a good movie. Complex relationships, sexual abuse, drugs... yup. Not something for the whole family, but I liked it. "Soul music saves the day again!"
"If we all work together, we can stop global warming." That's what I got out of the whole thing. And also, "Omg we don't want to be superheroes.... oh, nevermind." ...Overall, it was alright.
Not sure... at first I was really really opposed to the idea. But then I saw Steve Carell in 'Little Miss Sunshine'.. and now I like the guy. So we'll see.
Hilarious! I watched it with my family and we laughed through the entire movie. It could just be that we share this sense of humour; the whole movie was kind of quirky, and dark without being morbid. I loved it. We all did. It was, really, exactly what I thought it would be. A well-done indie movie that makes you look at society, and laugh. The cast did wonderfully and I would share it with everyone.
