| Wedding Crashers - R | it really wasn't that funny, it had it's moments though. | August 3, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Austin Powers in Goldmember - PG-13 | August 3, 2009 | N/A | ||||
| Dragonball Evolution - PG |
It tried to be a faithful adaptation which was great, Goku was adorable and funny and Chi Chi was modernized but she fit with the film. I was disappointed with the lack of more purple in Bulma's hair and Yumcha could have been left out and Krillin in his place (he IS Goku's BFF after all, where the hell was he?). The cheesy one liner's could have been cut out of the script- the anime dub was funnier than that! Piccolo was amazing (James Marsters is AWESOME, great job on the voice) and grandfather Gohan was a wonderful addition- his scene with Goku was the best and most natural in the entire film. if there is a sequel hopefully they learn. |

| The Ghosts of Girlfriends Past - PG-13 | Not all that funny and kind of lame. | August 3, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Slumdog Millionaire - R |
I still don't understand all those Oscars and still believe it should have gone to Benjamin Button. Was it the slightly compelling movie that came out of a tight budget? or the way the story was told via flashbacks giving us, the viewers the answers to HOW Jamal knew those answers? It was a little too long and I lost interest in it at half point. It was pretty predictable and as for the romance, I agree with Salim- "STILL?!". And it's not the best movie to integrate poverty either, seeing as I'm a cry baby and in no part in this movie did it move me enough. |

| Push - PG-13 | Good cast but the plot lacked and for the entire film Chris Evans, with the potential to be a much more powerful telekinetic stayed, well, pathetic. I was waiting for the moment where he stopped being so lame so the part where he got awesome would be more exciting. More of a romance than anything else but (I'm not really complaining) that was not what I was looking for when I watched this. | August 3, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - PG |
A little disappointed at the result of an extra-half a year wait. Disliked the changes they made to condense entire chapters that were not altogether successfully delivered. Harry and Ginny's kiss was...weird >.< The Ron/Hermione/Lavender (Cormac) relationships were well done but perhaps at the expense of the fight at the tower which was not included and too much time was spent on Aragog who had a funeral and yet Dumbledore did not (who thought that was a good idea?!). Overall it was ok if you've read the books but very confusing and even boring for those who have not. |

| The Proposal - PG-13 | Gorgeous couple! Reynolds plays the awkward guy quite well as anyone who has seen him act can vouch, and Bullock is just a great romantic comedy actress. The weekend between 'there's much more to her than meets the bitchy eye' Margaret Tate and 'the Kennedy of Alaska' Andrew Paxton is funny and heart warming. See it when you're having a bad day. | June 28, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Terminator Salvation - PG-13 | I loved it, Worthington outacted Bale who was basically Batman without the suit and who spent the entire movie giving orders lol It wasn't his fault the better story arc went to Worthington (who's accent was all over the place but hey, he was smoking hot so all is forvigen). Moon Bloodgood needed more screentime! | June 17, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Star Trek - PG-13 | Great action, good plot and well casted. Didn't disappoint- I'm no 'Trekkie' but I would be if it's like this. | June 4, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Reader - R |
Was curious as to Kate's Oscar winning performance- it really was fantastic. Her character doesn't say much but the depth of emotion she conveys on screen is fantastic. She manages to portray a complex woman who you WANT to talk about after the film is finished,ask questions. David Kross was impressive next to Kate as a young Ralph Fiennes. The start of the story is not something I'm comfortable with but I understand the sexuality theme of the film and that however young Michael was, he was only ever 'open' about himself (all the nudity could represent trust) with Hanna- whereas later on in the film only his lover is naked and he is fully clothed (closed up to everyone, even his daughter). But enough of the analysis- it was a thought-provoking film. |

| The Day the Earth Stood Still - PG-13 | Another end of the world movie, but this time I actually agree with Klaatu's plan. I like Jennifer Connelly and Keanu Reeves and Will Smith's son is adorable, overall I liked it. It wasn't great but still entertaining. | June 4, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Spirit - PG-13 |
What is it with the Spirit and all those women?!?! I mean, he's hot but c'mon, the guy is a 'love'em and leave'em but pretend they're the only woman in his life if he sees her again' type. Not much plot but I needed something Miller while waiting for the next Sin City. |

| Bride Wars - PG | Funny and adore Hathaway and Hudson together, not too sure about the casting of the prospective grooms though. Funny, and very good if you like wedding stories :) Hathaway had the better gown, elegant and age-appropriate whereas Hudson's was gorgeous but it was more for a debutante than a 30 something lawyer. | June 4, 2009 | N/A | |||
| Last Chance Harvey - PG-13 | Light-hearted love story for the oldies lol I'm a fan of both actors but it's one of those films where nothing really happens but there are a lot of emotions involved. | June 4, 2009 | N/A | |||
| The Uninvited - PG-13 | Good solid, simple plot. Easy to follow with a wonderful twist at the end, makes you want to see it all over again. LOVE Emily Browning. | June 4, 2009 | N/A | |||
| X-Men Origins - Wolverine - PG-13 |
This is what X-Men 4 should have been, not over cluttered with characters and giving time to those featured in the poster (though Emma Frost was ignored for most of it, not that I'm complaining. Shouldn't have tied Tanya's hair back, emphasized the size of her ears lol) Wanted more Gambit would be my only criticism. Young Scott was cute :) |
