Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events - PG "God to Jim Carrey, you don't need to try so hard!" I wanted this movie to be more... more... well, it was fine, just didn't seem to sizzle. August 13, 2007

Annie - G One of those head scratchers. John Huston? Whatever. I know I liked it. And, it helped Tim Curry clean off some of that Rocky Horror Picture Show stink. August 13, 2007

Addams Family Values - PG-13 The original is why I think Christina Ricci will always have a place in the Hollywood Pantheon. One of the most perfectly cast movie series ever made. It's sad that Raul Julia had to die of a stroke to keep it from being exhausted. Joan Cusak happily gilds this lily. August 13, 2007

Cool Runnings - PG Oh, Walt Disney. You can take rainbow and sprinkle it with dew, can't you. John Candy (RIP), forever funny. August 13, 2007

Blade Runner - R Ridley Scott makes some of the most beautiful films to be seen. Even if the script is awful his movies are always watchable. This movie, fortunately, is both well written and beautifully shot. All the actors are revelations. Some will never give performances any better than this. August 13, 2007

The Rock - R Getting Sean Connery out from under the James Bond films was very good. He will always be the quintessential Bond. The scenery chewing amongst all the actors is replete. August 13, 2007

Rocky II - PG No, I never seen a Rocky film and still feel no compelling reason to do so. I like Stallone. Demolition Man and Judge Dredd are two favorites. August 13, 2007

Black Snake Moan - R Christina Ricci will always have a special place in my heart, and she never disappoints! August 13, 2007

Million Dollar Baby - PG-13 I am currently saying no to all movies Eastwood AND Swank. If I want sad and poingnant I'll visit the animal shelter before "shower" day. August 13, 2007

Bubble Boy - PG-13 A fine little film. Your life will be lived in all it's glory whether you see it or not. If the mood takes you.... August 13, 2007

A Clockwork Orange - R I saw this in my college years when I forced self-exposure of everything I thought artistic. A classic, no doubt. I think I need to see this again to see if I actually like it. Kubrick IS an auteur. August 13, 2007

Hercules - G I admit I am biased. I am a purist when it comes to Greek Mythology. The stories are already complex morality plays that need no gilding. *sigh* Hollywood.... August 13, 2007

Click - PG-13 Hackity McHackerson. I am slowly beginning to accept that I can enjoy some Adam Sandler films. But, who told him he needs to fill the world with his cinematic ego? August 13, 2007

Crash - R Happy it won so many awards. I just don't want to feel this... much white guilt all the time. I AM only half Cracker. August 13, 2007

The Exorcism of Emily Rose - PG-13 I was able to watch the Exorcist recently for the first time since the 1970's, anything is possible I suppose. August 13, 2007
