Sympathy is what this movie builds up. Through out Samara's story we learn she was just a dark girl. Her mother then went insane, and threw her down a well. But then after the "monster has been defeated" and you take a breath, we see this child's true colors. Erie and grotesque shots capture you while suspense from the static of a TV thrills you.
