Why Did I Get Married? (2006)
Unrated
Why do people continue to let you make shitty movies? I hate you Tyler Perry.
Iron Man
PG-13
I loved it!
Robert was absolute perfection, witty, charming and he made a kick ass Iron Man. Jeff Bridges made an interesting villain. It's the first time I've seen him play the bad guy, but he was completely buyable. Even Gwyneth Paltrow was a nice addition to the pack.
Believe the hype and just GO SEE IT!

Edward Scissorhands
PG-13
My all time favourite film! I loved everything about this movie. It introduced me to Tim Burton, whom I now adore. It teamed up two of my favourite actors in Winona Ryder and the amazing Johnny Depp. This movie was sad, romantic, surreal, crazy, weird and kooky! A perfect blend for fine entertainment! Five stars for originality! I don't think we'll ever see anything like it again..

The Shawshank Redemption
R
I have seen this movie countless times, and I still get all wrapped up in emotion through-out! It's a sad story, that's a given. But it is also one of triumph, friendship and some small joy. A classic with an ending that should make you feel all warm & fuzzy inside!!
3.
Legends of the Fall
R
There are few words needed to describe this one. Memorable, heart-breaking, BEAUTIFUL and classic! If you haven't seen it, you really, really should.
4.
Pulp Fiction
R
A Tarantino classic. Intertwining stories with some of Hollywood's biggest stars, this movie is an eclectic bunch of R rated fun! It has your usual witty, long dialogue written by Tarantino. Some memorable scenes - The 'Jack Rabbit' contest, the adreneline shot to the heart, the famous Ezekial quote delivered by Sam Jackson, the basement scene at the gun shop. This has it all! It's fast paced with it's mellow moments. Funny and down right disturbing!!
5.
Sin City
R
Such a unique look and feel, I loved it all. The actors, the storyline's, the photography! So original. I can't wait for number 2!
6.
Apocalypto
R
I loved almost everything about this movie. Once again Mel Gibson has delivered an epic! Complete with the authentic Mayan language, the films exotic look and feel is beautifully polished off by strange cultural costumes, hairstyles, tattoos and body piercings. Apocalypto is an intense action/thriller, that is graphic and raw, but also full of passion and heart! I liked the way the film started, slowly introducing us to the characters, giving us some insight into their lives. When things started picking up, the violence was often, hard to watch, but at the same time it was woven into the film in a realistic manner, and I don't feel it was simply for shock value. This is a film with heart, that kept my eyes locked to the screen from start to finish. The subtitles were so easy to read, most of the time I forgot I was reading them. That should not be a reason to deter you from what is a very mysterious, unrelenting, unforgettable and near perfect movie masterpiece.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
by BrianIn general, the fantasy film genre isn't for me, but Mike wanted to see it, and I was game enough.
I was pleasantly surprised; it was better than the first, I thought by a mile, and the pacing was generally good.
A word to parents with young children: the film is really very violent with prolonged fighting scenes, etc. May not be appropriate for some kids.
Good, but I'm waiting for the Crystal Skull :)Hey, you should really see this!

A King in New York
by FabioWe can say this is a little bit autobiographical movie.
Chaplin is setting up his own troubles with the anti-American activities commission on the screen, and that is quite funny though particularly dramatic.
It contains some very pungent observations on the American way of life and American society of that period.
And I think that most of the americans will not apprecciate it.
Chaplin plays King Shahdov, a deposed monarch who flees to America in the hopes of selling his plans for a peaceful, nuclear-based society, which never happens. And during his stay he meets several people who give life to funny and touching moments.Hey, you should really see this!

Ginger Snaps
by DeanA very cool modern take on the werewolf genre. Mixing in a lot of teenage angst as well, the young cast do very well and the werewolf effects are very good.

Reign Over Me
by MarkNot an Adam Sandler fan, but I will not look at him the same way after seeing this film. He and Cheadle "Reign" supreme. Thumbs up!

Saving Sarah Cain
by BrianYes, it's crappy TV-movie acting, but what do you expect from Lifetime?
It's cute and worth seeing if you're into it.
Side question: Does anyone know if the burping after meals to show they liked it thing is real?Only if you're into it.

Camp Out
by BrianI wanted to see this documentary because its subject are so different from. Ten campers trying to reconcile their Christian faith and their homosexuality.
I never had that problem because religion isn't a big part of my life at all, but it was interesting to see, and would be good viewing for gay teens dealing with the same issues.Maybe for you, maybe not for you but a fairly well done documentary. You may know people that you could tell them about this.

Monsieur Verdoux
by Fabio"HENRI VERDOUX: Wars, conflict - it's all business. One murder makes a villain; millions, a hero. Numbers sanctify, my good fellow! "
"PRIEST: May the Lord have mercy on your soul.
HENRI VERDOUX: Why not? After all, it belongs to Him."
A great Chaplin's black comedy or as the "movie" says "A comedy of murders".
This is one of Chaplinīs best sound films.
Itīs the story of a fired bank clerk who goes into business for himself, marrying and murdering rich women for their money that then he uses for his family, the "real" wife and the son.
His directing is superb, the script is wonderful (born from the mind of Orson Welles) and the acting is superb, one of his best performance.
This is not like others chaplin's movies so don't watch it you don't like black comedies.
This movie has remembered me the movie "keeping mum" directed by Niall Johnson with Rowan Atkinson,so if you liked "monsieur verdoux" give a look also at "keeping mum"Hey, you should really see this!
