1.
Casablanca
Unrated
A movie that goes against the normal Hollywood tendency towards "happy endings" The ending was proper and satisfying.
2.
Smokey and the Bandit
PG
Of the three, this is the only one worth watching. The other two are mostly a waste of time. This is still funny. "Hang onto your ass, Fred!"
3.
Stripes
R
One of the funniest movies of the 80's. Still funny and Bernstein's score really adds to the hilarity.
4.
The Blues Brothers
R
Damn near perfect on all counts. The car chase alone is worth the price of admission. And Carrie Fisher was perfectly cast as the spurned girlfriend.
5.
Gojira
Unrated
Much, much better and more cohesive than the American version (which doesn't suck, BTW) and a better morality play to boot. Big monster wiping out a city. What's not to love?

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
by AudreyI watched this movie last night and was blown away! Amazing screenwriting and brilliant direction from Lumet,as well as excellent editing. A masterpiece.
I've always been somewhat neutral about Ethan Hawke but he demonstrated a range of ability that gives me a whole new respect for his acting. Hoffman also was excellent-but I knew he would be LOL.Hey, you should really see this!

The Crow
by Ginn"Fire It Up! Fire It Up! Fire It Up!!"
Just watched it again, after 14 years, back then I never really appreciated this cuz I was a bit too young to understand the story, but damn this move rocked! I dont want to spoil anything for those who havent watched this, but for some odd reason, watching this again (2008) reminded me of a lot of things...
I wonder if The Hardy Boys (WWE) got theirr signature move (the Swanton Bomb) and their getup from this movie. Hmmnn...
Damn this movie had it all, action, cheezy, heroics, vengeance, the damned heartbroken lover, fantasy, and even watching the stupid characters didnt give me a headache.
Im not going to rate this and compare it to todays generation of filmmaking cuz that would be unfair, so Im gonna rate this according to how films were made back then.
This one was rockin awesome!
The soundtrack was cool as hell too, ((STP, NIN, RATM, J&MC, The Cure))
This ones a gold classic!!
Factoid: The movie was based on a comic.Grew up in the 90s? Try to see this then! :)

I Dismember Mama (Crazed) (Poor Albert and Little Annie)
by AudreyHello friends! Well, we are going into the last leg of mom's 3 month visit and I'm still unmedicated and I've stopped spinning shiny metallic objects for hours. I just may get through this one with my psyche intact-YAY.
Thanks to Kevin for his long ago recommendation for this title to share my trials and tribulations with Mom. Tis perfect!!
I've gone to bingo so much I wake up screaming B 52 several nights a week. There are multiple explanations of this-I could use a B52 or I am subconsciously longing for the Love shack... In any event,Mummy has bagged about 5 grand playing bingo and is quite pleased with herself.
I am looking forward to getting back on site and catching up with everyone, as my time on site has been haphazzard at best. I have really missed movie world.
Mum has been great to have here-and I have no plans of dismembering her. It's so nice to be taken care of-handed my coffee in the morning and all the wonderful things we've been up to,despite the pitifully shitty weather.
By the time August 9th-D Day arrives,I shall be a weeping basket case as she returns to Newfoundland and I'll have to make my own coffee and I'll miss her kiss good night-awwww sob!Hey I have no idea what this film is about-just liked the title-compliments of exnavykds.

Bandidas
by GinnA lite & funny, mindless movie. Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek in Old Western Mejico.
A rich, pampered, educated chic and a simple yet "quite connected" farm hand girl finds themselves in a situation where they have to work with each other.
Lots of eye candy for the guys and lots of simplistic, slightly idiotic but laughable fun for everyone.
A pretty enjoyable comedy.posted 20 days ago -
