This is what you can call a GREAT Chinese movie . With the setting of WWII-era Shanghai , the vengeance , the planning of homicide and everything else mixed perfectly .
With unpredictable intrigues , jaw-dropping plans and lust-full affair , emotion and beautiful body languages , the timeline and the flashback directing.

From story to score to cinematography . Ang Lee made another MASTERPIECE after the homosexual cowboys in Brokeback Mountain . Not far from sex scenes , just like what Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal did in Brokeback . Lust , Caution served a full-of emotion scenes , even with that brutal sex-scenes of the forbidden affair . Which made a BIG controversy in China , while in Indonesia , the scenes were censored ,without missing any valuable scene .

With such emotional casts with award-full quality , fulfilled the completion of A-list Hollywood quality acting .
Tony Leung gave us an unforgettable performance as the lust-full rich smart man Mr. Yee . Either Tang Wei as the seductress Mak Tai-Tai / Wong Chia Chi , did her role as one of the best debut performance i have ever seen , even she had been banned almost every where in China because of the sex scenes , she will be the next Rinko Kikuchi (BABEL) from China . Lee Hom Wang as the wicked planner Kuang Yu Min was not as BIG as Tang Wei , he's okay and impressive enough , eventhough he was not more than Jay Zhou in Curse Of the Golden Flower .

At the end , Lust , Caution is Ang Lee's another MASTERPIECE after Brokeback Mountain , with beautiful scenery , classical Chinese culture shows and traditional music . THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL A GREAT CHINESE DRAMA .

A fancy movie from China . Which became a box-office there and crap outside .

With story that is Twilight looked-alike plus Underworld's action pack drama . Twins Effect is not more than stupid Chinese comedy with great cameo such as Jackie Chan and a really BAD 3D effect .

With not-too-cliche love story but lame one . Twins Effect is a parade of cute-faced humans and vampires . With only blue contact lenses and fake teeth , the make up itself just so simple .
Plus the freaky action scenes , the so-not-hillarious fighting scenes . Packaged with BAD score .

The casting just so-so .
With the eye-candy Edison Chen as Kazaf , the Vampire Prince , Edward Cullen type . Charlene Choi as Helen , not really fascinating acting . But , surely not an Isabella Swan here . The rest of the casts just so-so . Even Jackie Chan was BETTER than them all .

At the end, this movie just another crap from China . The only thing worth was just only the idea , of humanxvampire itself .

Everyone has their own story . But , not everyone has extravagant story .

Ray is the name of the man who owns the extravagant story . A mixture of drama , glam , glitz and reality with powerful packaging .

Yes , it was the heart-wrenching tear-jerker movie . Story of family , money , drama , music and blindness .

With such a nice cinematography , inspiring quotes and nice score and setting . This movie looked radiant.

Honestly , i never knew Ray Charles before watching this movie and Jamie Foxx gave me total beautiful potrayal of Ray Charles's life , one of the performance that made me thrilled . Especially , the hospital scenes . It's not a wierd thing if Jamie got the Oscar on his palm .
Kerry Washingston also gave us a really great performance , a heart-wrenching lady .

The rest of the casts were merely great .

At the end,Ray is more than a biographical movie , it's a powerful one ,who gave me the potrayal of Ray Charles . Without any meaning of racism , this is what you call a great black people movie ! (Not the lame Norbit or Phat Girlz)

After Finding Nemo,there's no animated feature that could encore my childlike credulity except Wall-E.Wall-E is a astonishing oxygen supply for our amigdala,a dazzling charmer,and a storytelling champion.Once again done so beautifully by Pixar Studios,Wall-E is a big triumphant for Disney,and a feature which almost impossible to top,an audio-visual masterpiece.

The story of Wall-E is never lose a second of charm in it's ticking second,he squeaked,he winked,he bleeped,and he have a big heart.Wall-E's relationship with Eve is simply irresistable,and remember,what so wrong about that?What they preserve is simply exquisitely turned beauty and beast relationship into what so called love,unconditional and without any bullshits,and isn't that so cliché?In this case,NO.


Pixar has accomplished a termendous victory with this one whatsoever.Pixar created what we call a "MASTERPIECE",an astounding visual grace,and a breakthrough in sound engineering.And like Charlie Chaplin's movies,Wall-E is a wordless masterpiece,Pixar has successfully captured every emotion perfectly with grandeur score and an beyond-words CGI,making Wall-E is a classic without any brilliant script involved.The story of Wall-E also a symbolize the gluttonies,which are the humans,conflicted the satire,that maybe in the future,robots might have a bigger heart than human themselves,as they can see in truly magical creature called,Wall-E,which so far is the most adorable made by Disney.

A very good movie about friendship,belief,dreams,and brotherhood.Son of Rambow,which also a rememberance of 80's,is undoubtly a indie masterpiece.

As well as many moments were delivered,Son of Rambow also remind us about a simple tales whereabouts a little kids who simply addicted to the movie
"Rambo", made a spoof of Rambo movie itself.And in this times where kids love to spend their time with High School Musical and Hannah Montana,Son of Rambow was considered as a bloody diamond based on the important messages about family and friendship also the way it's portraying the childhood in the most delicate way.

Yes,Son of Rambow is a great portrayal about childhood etc.But what's greater is how Garth Jennings made this film utterly beliavable,what the critics called,"At least it's better than what Sylvester Stallone's doing now."

The two lead actors were completely adorable and insanely genius,and the total of the two performances sum up better than what Stallone did in all Rambo movies,as for me.

So what not to love about this movie.Clever,witty,offbeat,and imaginative.We can find a million things great things in this movie,but most importantly,in Rambow,we treasured a genius talents in acting,and an upcoming screenwriter and directors,who has a fantastic imagination,and destined to be a movie-genious.

What makes you sparkles , have to shed blood first .

Blood Diamond is a brutal , bloody and thrilling sensation of an action-drama movie . With the Africa bloody views , tear-jerker drama(minus flowy-flowy love stories) , orchestrated chaos and holocaust for beautiful sparkles on rich people's body .

With serving from Edward Zwick . A dry land covered with red blood and black-skinned corpses . TIA , That is Africa
With awesome full-of-holocaust intervention scenes and the greatness of Africa-land(read : Africa's scenery) . Zwick packaged Blood Diamond with rap-reggae score ,which did not match and over-volume in some scenes .
Zwick made another brutal excitement , a long running-time but yet thrilling and exciting .

Well , it was an almost-perfect casting .
Leonardo Di Caprio as the brutal , white-skinned African Danny Archer did his role well and serious , i never expected that he could change his accent nicely , from that crispy-young voice into British-African voice .
Djimon Honsou as the innocent Solomon Vanda . He made Solomon's emotion(and body language) nicely and captured my attention(to understand the plot) perfectly .
Jennifer Connely as the slick ,kind-hearted journalist Maddy Bowen 'over-whelmed' by Leo's & Honsou's appearance , she did that well . But , still forgettable .

At the end,Blood Diamond is a thrilling sensation with African scenery and full-of-suspense action-drama and truth .

Martial Arts of Shoalin is the first and only collaboration between Jet Li and Lau Kar-Leung. There is some slightly unconventional weapon use as well. This is also one of the few times that Jet Li has used this particular combination of weapons on screen, and it turns out to be one of his best fight sequences. This is Yue Sing-Wai's best action performance, and he delivers it with his signature style. It's some of the best fighting Lau Kar-Leung ever choreographed. It is a combination of the best that Hong Kong and mainland China had to offer at the time.

Beside those magical features . WALL-E showed its Environmental purposes with fun , clever ways . It mesmerized all ages viewers .

Plus , the innocently cute and lovely scripts . WALL-E is a super-kawaii and lovely movie .

At the end, A science-fiction with same quality as Steven Spielberg's.

We all agree that is hard-life to be an ugly people , especially for they who were born with 'animal's' face .

Penelope served that theme with modern touch fairytale with fun , fresh and delicate setting and cinematography , what made this movie not cliche and boring as i thought .

Maybe some people said that it was an Enchanted rip-off . Yes , is some points Penelope showed that it wanted to be an Enchanted . But , Penelope is a smart innocent girl not a dumb cliche Giselle .

Penelope served us colorful setting ,in playful artistic ways with modern-touch with the fairytale cinematography , with pop-rock score which made Penelope as a modern-creation and don't forget about cute pig-nose and less-showed pig ears .

Penelope gave us sweet casts .
sweet-boyish James Mcavoy as the loser-gambler 'Max Champion' . Goth couture princess Christina Ricci as the innocent pig-faced Penelope Wilhern . Played as cute as usual , they are fantasy-specialists . Then , there is Catherine O' Hara as Jessica Wilhern which played always as hideous as always and very small role for Reese Witherspoon as the punk-rocker-bar-girl Annie , looked so boring and forgettable , even she had played really nice in Walk the line , she didn't do 'Annie' seriously .
Then , the comedic Burn Gorman did that cliche-ly and at last , Peter Dinklage as the abnormally short Lemon as the completion of abnormally short people a.k.a. dwarf in fairytale story .

Beside that pluses sides . Penelope showed us some hideous comedic scenes , which are really cliche . Check out these scenes :

Burton and Elfman,once again,brought a story so impeccable,so everyone can relate to it without feeling ashame nor skeptical to this utterly engaging tales.Big Fish revolves around man's peculiar imagination,which tore down his relationship with his own son.And along with father-son reunionship,the film unravels father's life story,which being so unbelievably fancy,more dreamlike.









The story of Edward Bloom,is more of a pack of grandiose extravaganza than a biopic tales.And similar like all Burton's movie,this film packed with wonderful scenes,and poetic string of scores.




And despite all the fanciness of this movie,I discovered more,the true essence of this story.Big Fish is a story of a family,not so filled with trust,and how they can ended up with trusting one another,and how's story so unbelievable can be a story of man's life.The true essence of this movie is about believing dreams,the same way with Will Bloom,who discovered his dad's dreams lies within a true stories.




Big Fish is is an embodiment of man's life story,whether fact or fiction.With magical illumination spread along the way,but in the end,all we got to do,is just believe.Big Fish is a movie larger than the story itself,a standing ovation for Burton and his amazing talents behind or in front-of the camera.


Warm.Dazzling.Captivating yet so enchanting,without questioning the intellegence of the audience.BRILLIANT!

It all started up just like any other Indonesia movie . Boring isn't it ?
Everything were so overwhelmed at the beginning , the simple stories with the soothing and calming Erwin Gutawa's score and of course the countless repetition from his daughter's song , Sempurna by Gita Gutawa .

With such a flowy-flowy poetic words , the movie only effected amateurs to cry . Everything just ended up with tragedies and tears and those tragedies(take a look at RESTU (IRWANSYAH) & DINDA (LAUDYA CYNTHIA BELLA's story) sometimes seemed so lame and cliche and absolutely wierdo romantic comedy laughter from Tere-Awin(Luna Maya-Darius S.)'s story .
And super-fugly love story with comedic touch from Acha Setriapsa and Fauzi Baadila .

But , Love inserted serious love story in Surya Saputra and Wulan Guritno's and the lame-less realistic love story of Alzhemier-patient played by the R.I.P. Sophan Sophian with his mate(and true wife) Widyawati .

The best actor , i would say Sophan Sophian , too bad he's dead already ,with Widyawati ,he made a great chemistry , like anyone else ever do in Indonesia .

But, there was little compliment to Kabir Bhatia , Love showed us varieties of people to survive their love life .
From , college students love story , married couple's , low-class people's , the writers's and single older people's and dramatic cinematography .

Soon, Sakti becomes involved in a new relationship, and must contend with the societal realities of being out of the closet.

A life of socialites and upperclasses should be glorious , luxurious and happy . What everyone want to live with . With lots of cash you can buy anything , except happiness .

With the clever directing from Nia Dinata . Arisan! became a hit , Arisan! opened extremely the life of splendor , unhappy and arrogant socialites . Showing off was their best feature , from the designer's bags to diamonds . Arisan! also the original event for mature ladies in Indonesia .

Even with such a simple drama cinematography , lighting and score , Arisan! showed us controversial story . From , infertility issue to homosexual issue packaged not too open ,but qualified enough . Arisan! could keep those issues still as taboo things in Indonesia .

From the talented Cut Mini as MeiMei , Tora Sudiro as the depressed handsome Sakti , Surya Saputra as unpredictable Nino Aida Nurmala as the comedic Andien , Rachel Maryam as the innocent lower class Lita , everything mixed dramatically , even though Arisan! just a simple type of drama .

Innocent thoughts become beauty , beauty causes story , sometimes tragic and happy .

Beauty is held by a Geisha named Sayuri(Zhang Ziyi) . Sayuri was the perfect potrayal of Geisha at that time , the flawless beauty , the flawless performances and beautifully tragic love-story .

Geisha is a delicately settled by Rob Marshall . One of the most appealing beauty from East-Asia themed movie .
From score to cinematography , it was perfect .

Geisha came with great mixture of beautiful cinematography , mighty score , great setting , beautiful costumes and make-up and great actors . Even with English language , Geisha still looks realistic and mesmerizing .

Zhang Ziyi as Innocent Sayuri , Michelle Yeoh as elegant Mameha and Gong Li as depressed and wicked Hatsumomo showed gorgeous performance , both emotions and body languages .
Either Ken Watanabe as the wise-kind-hearted chairman and Koji Yakusho .
Last but not Least , is the Yoki Kudo as the comedic cruel Pumpkin . The fresh touch for the tragedy and drama .

At the end, Memoirs Of Geisha is a gorgeous creation from Rob Marshall which serves excitement eventhough it is drama and 2 hours ++ running time .

A Harry Potter chic-flick . First , the story just way too shallow , no tricks , just innocent play . A teenage love affair , school's ball and parade of good-looking youths .

But , don't forget the mighty visualization .
The best feature of this movie .
Yule Ball visualization was good ,it was so breath-taking .

The thrill from the Triwizard Tournament wasn't as thrilling as always , this Triwizard was just another completion of the adventurous side of this high-school story Harry Potter .

Appearance of the Lord Voldemort was the best feature of this movie , the most thrilling scene of this flick even though it is not making this flick as one of the average Harry Potter . Well , it was not smart enough .

Make-up . The book told us that Hermione Granger's appearance would be a BLAST . But , the make-up team failed , there's no actual differences of Emma's Hermione Granger.

The Youngsters :
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter , Emma Watson as Hermione Granger , Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley at same level .
Stanlisav Ianevski as Viktor Krum and showed that his acting was as good as Jonathan Rhys-Meyer . Robert Pattinson as Cedric Diggory (and a soon-to-be- Mr. Edward Cullen) is another eye-catchy girl-like look , not a real actor ,but only worked at same point as forgettable cameo.
Clémence Poésy as Flour Delacour and Katie Leung as Cho Chang were at the same point as Robert Pattinson .

The veteran (also) didn't show a great appearance here , so usual . Even Alan Rickman , the thrilling Snape wasn't as good as usual and the joining of Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort wasn't placed in good-quality scenes .

At the end,Everything just ruled by the mighty Yule Ball ,all things just ended up like crap. Nah, what do you expect much?

It's not much to say,when it comes to my beloved characters on the TV screen,and SATC:The Movie put an icing on the cake for the series itself.As always,The SATC girls are never losing out their fun.And in the movie,we can find all we wanted,an always adorable narration,a fast-witty script,and it's irresistible clothes.

For the fan,it certainly was a magnificent treat from the TV show,and for the non-believer,it still clearly a perfect romantic comedy.

The script,hands down.Michael Patrick King is actually has a story to tell.He's throwing a grand homage to the TV show,by writing it's inescapable great script,and few brilliant lines.The script was a knock-out hit from the movie,certainly.

In terms of story development,SATC:The Movie was a complete reminiscing experience back in the old days.The story was utterly fresh and the narrative by Sarah Jessica Parker is still remains adorable and heartwarming.

What more entertaining for the fans than watching all four girls re-team in one frame again?Despite all the exhaustion it took to bring back all the girls,Carrie,Miranda,Charlotte,and Samantha are back in their best shape ever.With Patricia Field and New York's Backdrop,I can't imagine anything that more delicious.

Watching SEX & The City : The Movie is like watching 3 episodes back to back,which is the best way to entertain fans.What's more exciting than see 3 episodes,with large screen and dolby surround sound.


So,after four years gap,is Sex & The City : The Movie worth to buy?The answer is YES!The Movie revisited all the old school charm,has vast character development,and even more flashy clothes,and panorama.We want it,then they gave it the best.

Hilarious odd-couple / road movie / cop movie / action comedy packaged together very well. This was made back when director Martin Brest made good movies, not notorious box office duds like Gigli. He only makes a movie once every couple of years so he shouldn't have disappointed everybody like that. Anyway, Midnight Run is upbeat, action-packed, and pretty funny, as the swaggering Robert De Niro and the very dry Charles Grodin display perfect odd-couple chemistry. Good supporting cast, too, and lively music score by Danny Elfman. This here is the kind of action comedy that is actually fun to watch, without getting lame or stupid or annoying.

Sweeney Todd : The Demon Barber of Fleet Street probably is the musical that didn't occur any gay dancing numbers at all,otherwise,Sweeney Todd is a musical contains explicit exposure of brutality,and massive amount of blood.




Burton's theatrical drawing on the old London is the most breathtaking one,after Luhrman's Moulin Rouge.Burton personified London into this utterly dark industrial vibe-town,along with Burton's essential style,which means magnificent cinematography,and super-lavish production set.











With Sweeney Todd,Tim Burton has officially conquered the world of musical,with his own impersonation.Sweeney Todd,played by Johnny Depp,is an essential Tim Burton character.Dark,gritty,and haunting.And with Depp's touch,Sweeney Todd is never running out of his charisma.Depp's astounding impersonation of Todd,goes along with the supporting casts.




Helena Bonham-Carter,as Mrs.Lovett,in the other hand,is a cleansweep,emphatizing Lovett with a really dark vibe to it.Along with Sacha Baron Cohen and Alan Rickman,they make a solid supporting lineup.






With archievements from every degree,is it too excessive to say that Sweeney Todd is the best musical of all time?Probably yes.But for sure,Burton has served us the musical masterpiece that we've been waiting for,a very dark masterwork,that set a musical to the most haunting.A haunting,and extremely terrorizing musical yet a larger than life work of art for it's extraordinary visual wonderment,and it's dazzling numbers.

Plot :
In 1958, in New York City, the upper class Diane Arbus is a frustrated and lonely woman with a conventional marriage with two daughters. Her husband is a photographer sponsored by the wealthy parents of Diane, and she works as his assistant. When Lionel Sweeney, a mysterious man with hypertrichosis (a.k.a. werewolf syndrome, a disease that causes excessive body hair), comes to live in the apartment in the upper floor, Diane feels a great attraction for him and is introduced to the world of freaks and marginalized people, falling in love with Lionel.

First , queer story always as good as ever when it comes as a movie or entertainments and almost never be good when it comes to reality . This Diane Arbus's story is reality and it is enchanted enough . What's wrong was the directing and the people behind this movie , except Nicole Kidman .
Everything was so nice at the beginning , a start of excitement of queer world of Diane Arbus .
Everything changed to dramatic love affair when the flash-backed to 3 years ago . That was the time when the enchanted , excitement story gone for hours .

It is a total guilty pleasure for me ,that i always interested in queer movies , book or even anime . Fur is a picture of a mixed fantasy and reality in a long time ago . I thought , it'll be another Tim Burton's Big Fish excitement ,just like what Timur Bekmambetov's Wanted did to me .
IT FAILED . A TOTAL FLOP!
Great themes and story but the crew had chosen the wrong story to be filmed . Love life of Diane Arbus and Lionel was not as exciting as the carrier of Diane Arbus as queer things photographer .
If they(the crew) wished that it would be a tear-jerker , they were wrong . It's too freaky to be a tear-jerker.

I wasn't a great presentation of Steven Shainberg .
First , wrong story choosing
Second , too simple cinematography
Third , unclear purposes of story-telling
Fourth ,"tell me another story" ending .

Nicole Kidman always as best as usual . Her acting skill didn't make any low-points at all . The Diane Arbus character was a quite hard character , a queer , less-social , perfectionist , like-to-exposing-herself , fantasy-lover and open-minded person ,which Nicole could role beautifully .

Robert Downey Jr. luxurious performance as the fur man(with great aesthetic fur) or The beast a.k.a. the melancholy Lionel . Robert looked dramatic , indeed . But , chaos at his acting at the end of his appearance . Maybe , that means at that time , he couldn't perform great face-expression .

The chemistry of both actors was almost good enough . Robert Downey's acting really got "slammed" by Nicole's acting . So imperfection .

The Jungle Book is one of Disney's most memorable animated movies. It's based on the Mowgli stories by Rudyard Kipling. The movie probably has the best songs of any Disney movie, it's full of wonderful animals such as Baloo and King Louie the ape and it has a great little character in Mowgli who was raised in the jungle. This is a great story throughout and the songs were just wonderful. There's plenty of creatures for fans of animals from snakes to elephants to a big bad tiger called Shere Khan, one of the best Disney villains ever.
