Black Dynamite Black Dynamite R
I never laughed so hard this year. Black Dynamite is easily and unforgettable classic. When the master plan is finally revealed it pushes this films hilarity is push to astronomic levels, I loved the absurd nature of Black Dynamite, it was a great time.
Paranormal Activity Paranormal Activity R
A real bad horror film with a lot of magic tricks used. much like Blair Witch and Colverfield this "shocking" expose of a current trend of handheld filmed movies is more or less a studios attempt to freshen up film and to ultimately, cater to the average movie going public. buffoons will pack the theaters in droves, believing what is on the screen is real, now paranormal activity(not the movie the actual thing) is something I neither disbelieve or believe in.

I just felt that this beginners final cut pro produced film was way too superficial, with its over abundance of stop motion tricks, its use of minor computer graphics, and sub-par acting.

I will give Blair Witch Project some credit, that film was actually made on a shoe string budget. this film, makes you think it was made on shoe string budget(I don't believe it was made with a $15,000 dollar budget more like a bigger budget to me. some scenes look to me as if a Foley artist and other crew were at work) which in fact isn't, is the scariest part of this dribble known as paranormal activity. did I mention that this movie didn't scare me? it didn't, watch a real horror movie like suspiria or don't look now.

p.s. if you thought that this movie is real account you're stupid. this movie has two alternate endings. one copy for festivals out for download, by the way I watched this in theaters and watched the alternate ending featured in the bootleg version(hey everybody downloads movies the 24 hour dump and bump rules apply though) and I was captivated more by a Dr. Phil lookalike laughing throughout the film, which I did too with a lot of sighs as well.

Planet of the Apes Planet of the Apes PG
This film is number one on my list because it is just as relevant now as it was in 1968. Classic!, Brilliant!, and often, way of ahead of it's times.
Dog Day Afternoon Dog Day Afternoon R
A instant classic. Al Pacino play's Sonny a Bi-sexual bank robber failing miserably as a criminal but becoming a rockstar in his own right. Played out as perfect satire and dark comedy(until the end.) This film shines with a grit, wit, and an almost over the top dynamic that was all too true. Based on a magazine article and the national news accounts of our anti-hero Sonny, Dog Day Afternoon is one that should not be missed at all.
