Boy Interrupted

Wow this was such a powerful documentary. Anyone who wants to know more about bi-polar disorder and clinical depression should watch this movie. This movie is not the most cheerful movie in the world but it is sobering. After I watched this documentary I thought to myself "man am I glad for what I've got, especially my health". You should have at least one but maybe two boxes of kleenex handy during the viewing of this movie.

Watchmen

Whether you are a fan of the graphic novel or not I think that most people would find this film to be very good. Visually this movie is very appealing to the eye. The CGI is so good you forget that you are looking at computer generated landscapes. Not only does the settings and the environments draw you in but so does the storyline. This movie is a very cerebral examination of our "civilization" and humanity. Each superhero has their own outlook on humanity, good and bad. I loved the fact that this movie made me think about our society, our governments, our failures, and our triumphants as a race. The cast for this movie is amazing, they couldn't have had a better cast for this film. I loved Jackie Earle Haley he was brilliant in this film and I loved his character. I also loved Carla Gugino in this, she is a great character actress. The other actor who carries this movie, besides Jackie Earle Haley, is Patrick Wilson as Nite Owl 2. Patrick Wilson was exceptionally good in this film. His is the character of the good guy waiting a life time for that one moment when he can tell the woman he loves how he feels about her. I must say in closing thank you to Zack Snyder for making this film visually inticing experience and a thought provoking journey into human kind.

Outlander

I really loved the story line of this movie and thought they might have a hard time pulling off the different civilizations but they didn't. This movie was quite enjoyable and intriguing. The CGI was amazing, which is good because if the CGI is bad then the movie is never believable. James Caviezel was very good in this but then again he is usually good in whatever he does. There was a very good supporting cast in this movie. I think the supporting cast is paramount to making a good film. It was good to see John Hurt in this, he is such a splendid actor. I though that Sophia Myles was quite good in her role. The action or rather battle scenes in this movie are very well done and really added to the film. If you like quasi historical films then see this it is worth a watch.
