| Punisher: War Zone - R | Great piece of over the top violence and gore. I enjoyed the Thomas Jane Punisher more, but this still was a good action pic. I liked how it stayed to the orignal origin of having Castees family wiped out by the mob after witnessing a mob hit. Stevenson played a much darker and forbidding Punisher than Jane, and West did a great job with the pyschotic Jigsaw Overall good story..plenty of action for my taste buds..Interesting to see if the continue this franchise...2 thumbs up...Recommend for Punisher and action fans! | March 24, 2009 | N/A | |||

I know i'll probably piss off some WATCHMEN purist..but Zack Synder did a AMAZING job of bringing the WATCHMEN to the big screen...just amazing! He held true to the dark, gritty nature of the graphic novel..having read the graphic novel years ago..and just recently re-read it again to brush up...I found that Synder did it justice. ..he interpreted well...The movie itself held fairly true to the comic..and was easy to follow...But if you have not read it...it would be difficult...
On a whole the effects were stunning from Dr.Manhatten to the whole Mars sceanrio...Absolutely loved Jackie Earl Haley as Rorschach..and in my opinon stole the movie! Archie..Nite Owl's ship was awesome... The plot and the story moved right along..and the tweek of the ending was well served..but I did miss the Squid..but nuclear disaster played well...Barring the omittence of the Tales of the Black Freighter...this movie was well done and Synder should be commended for adapting such a hard novel for the big screen...Easily one of my favorite comic/graphic novel adaptations..2 THUMBS UP....HIGHLY RECOMMEND..for WATCHMEN FANS..Be warned..for the casual viewer..this is not your typical superhero movie!!!! |

| Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) - PG-13 | A great sequel to the first Hellboy!! I was stoked to see Abe and Liz get more meatier roles then in the first one..The visuals and effects were stunning...action was good campy fun...the last battle at the end between Hellboy and the evil Elf Prince was awesome...del Toro was a master a creating a great story and stunning and imaginative creature effects..Really a great action/fanatsy flick...Perlman once again does great justice to Hellboy..the one-liners...were great!!! 2 Thumbs Up....Highly Recommend | March 7, 2009 | N/A | |||
