My Favorite Movies

  bonscottreborn's Rating My Rating
1
GoodFellas (1990,  R)
GoodFellas
Scorsese's finest work. DeNiro, Pesci and Liotta are magnificent in this fact based story of the life of Henry Hill and his mobster ties. With the exception of Godfather II....the best mob movie ever made.
2
Pulp Fiction (1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
Quentin's best work by far. This movie kept me glued to my seat the first time I saw and the second and the third...! A bit of advise - never watch this movie on regular TV edited. It deserves to be seen uncut/unedited/uncensored.
3
Reservoir Dogs (1992,  R)
Reservoir Dogs
Quentin puts himself on the map as one of today's finest directors with this unique look at a robbery gone wrong. Steve Buscemi and Michael Madsen are at their theatrical best. Chris Penn is disappointing, but he can't detour you from an excellent plot line. A must see.
4
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
Best heroine movie ever.(with Volume 2)
5
Saw (2004,  R)
Saw
Loved this movie. New and inventive. Twisted and intreging. Jigsaw is the next cult horror icon.
6
Pretty Woman (1990,  R)
Pretty Woman
Garry Marshall....thank you...thank you for giving us a true Cinderella story...and for introducing the world to Julia Roberts. I'm not a "chick flick" fan..but this I don't think qualifies...as it has something for everyone. A really enjoyable film and a must for your collection.
7
Kill Bill, Volume 2 (2004,  R)
Kill Bill, Volume 2
Great action scenes and storytelling. Quentin is a genius.
8
A Few Good Men (1992,  R)
A Few Good Men
In my opinon...the best cast ever ensembled...Cruise, Nicholson, Demi Moore, Kevin Bacon, Keifer Sutherland, J.T. Walsh and many others give outstanding perfomances. But it's Cruise and Nicholson's one-on-one battle at the end of the movie that is, again in my opinion, the greatest courtroom scene ever. YOU MUST OWN THIS MOVIE.
9
Rounders (1998,  R)
Rounders
this movie revolutionized poker. Although only on screen for about 10 minutes, John Malkovich give a extremely memorable performance. Norton and Damon are wonderful together and the story keeps you glued to your seat.
10
Pearl Harbor (2001,  PG-13)
Pearl Harbor
Michael Bay does it again! Kate is hot, but didn't need the love story in this movie. However the bomb scene is fantastic and the story keeps you glued to your seat even though you know what is going to happen. (Unless you dropped out of school)
