This Is England - Unrated

|
Beautiful. More than believable and emotional acting. Gripping plot. Great paced script, with witty twists. Breathtaking photography. All based on true events. This movie brought me to early 80s England and moved me deeply. Must watch for people who like indies, thinkers, and period pieces.

Laugh out loud funny at times. Great new role for Tom Hanks, and well done by him. Fun story line and pace. Wonderfully eloquent and hilarious script. This movie was fun.

Great acting by Will Smith. The directing somehow helped me better get a sense of the 1980s. The screen writing was a little redundant with its "If anything can go wrong, it will." or "When it rains it pours." I get the point - I just thought it was a bit overdone.

Engrossed by the 18th period thanks to fantastic costume and set work - very vivid, very beautiful. The delivery of the narration is ingenious as Salieri is despicable and lovable all at that the same time. The best part of the movie is the perfectly woven soundtrack using Mozart's music. The requiem music writing scene is enthralling. If you love music you must watch.
