| A Scanner Darkly - R | I love the visual effect - the technique perfectly compliments the content of the film. Much <3 to (in part) the Waking Life team for drawing out another beautiful trace. The script (as adapted from Philip K Dick's novel) is odd and poorly paced. It left me a bit confused; not in the good way but the lost way. Cool plot, great message. Russell Crowe is perfect in his delivery. Reidley Scott is genius in his artistry - the entire movie is vivd and gorgeous. You do not doubt for a minute that you are in Rome. A fine, beautiful balance between artistic violence and eloquent dialog. This movie is my favorite. |
