The Invisible The Invisible PG-13
Invisible started out good and showed some potential then progressed into a rather silly teen angst flick. Which is not to say that Justin Chatwin and Margarita Levieva didn't do well with what they were given. 'Course, it's not really intended for my demographic, anyway.

There Will Be Blood There Will Be Blood R
After all the kudos from the critics, as well as the Oscar nominations and wins, KJ and I finally got a chance to see There Will Be Blood this past Friday and I can honestly say that we were blown away. While in the course of writing my review on Sunday, I went back to review the opening of the movie and proceeded to watch it again, in it's entirety. If it were to be playing at this very moment, I'd put my review on hold once again, so as not to be interrupted during my third viewing. Paul Thomas Anderson and Robert Elswit...y'all rock! Daniel Day-Lewis is da man! And...Paul Dano was none too shabby, either. Most assuredly a "Must See"...
Northfork Northfork PG-13
Set in 1955, this is the story of the residents of the small town of Northfork, Montana and their surrounding neighbors, who are being re-located to make way for the lake which will power a new hydro-electric dam. It's also the story of a sickly, orphan boy, named Irwin and the priest who's caring for him. Written by brothers, Michael and Mark Polish, and directed by Michael, the film is a veritable feast of visual imagery meant to be gorged upon. I got the feeling that I was viewing an Andrew Wyeth painting which had been infused with motion and a slight touch of surrealism added. James Woods, Nick Nolte, newcomer Duel Farnes and a brilliant ensemble cast, including writer Mark Polish, are all perfectly cast in their respective roles. I'm so thankful that I was in the right frame of mind for viewing this film, otherwise I might have bailed early on and missed a truly beautiful work of art. Awesome...
