This film has great action very much in the stlye of old hong-kong flicks. Great set piece and some interesting locations give the film a nice feel. The plot and dialogue is complete garabage thou and not going to set any worlds on fire. If you are into insane fight sequences that don't use cgi or wires then check this bad boy out. If you are looking for plot, acting or anything else.. steer well clear.
Finally a half decent video game adaption to film. This film has lots of great creepyness and visuals with a kickarse sound effect score. Dark and evil this film lived up to the hype for me. It does have alot of problems thou and should ahve treated the audience with a little more respect to work things out themselves. The initial scenario of how they get to Silient Hill set me on edge but once the monsters came, I was enthralled. I feel this warrents a sequel but with hopefully a liitle bit better script. Definetly one for the stormy nights!
We knew it was going to be bad. You knew it too. But with those now imoral lines which I asume Samuel L Jackson will have on his grave. How could this film be nothing but a fun ride into B crap film making. The reason this film works over so many others that are also bad is the timing and not taking itself too seriously. The film works in the cinema best with friends in the same mind set. We don't often get this experience anymore in the theatres and when a truely trashy gem like this comes along, you just got to love it. Seriosuly not going to make lots of money, and also not going to win any awards but this film will be brought out time and again at drunk/cult movie night for decades to come.
Stereotypical car racing film based in Tokyo. The cinematography is pretty thou, the cars are good looking and some of the background chicks are veryv very hot. The acting thou is fairly boring and the hero is fairly boring. I do like the fact they have no problem trashing cars in this film. Little BowWow did a fairly good job acting too. Good turn off brain fast food. Nothing here but pop corn and lots and lots of coke!
An interesting vision of what Douglas Adam's wrote. The visuals are stunning and the sillyness is still there, but really lacking in what the book provided, or the radio drama. Yes, it could have been better, but it could have been a damn side worse. Above average attempt of this work, but missed what could have made it great.
