Huge disappointment! Everybody used to tell me about this movie and I have to say; there was a long time I had seen such a boring movie. The cast acts well, but the story and the cinematography were awful. I did not read the book, but I'm guessing it might be better. It reminded me a little bit in some scenes the famous movie "Clockwork Orange", which I consider another big piece of crap.
Although the plot of the movie has not much to do with Ruth Rendell's book, it is still pretty good. Almodóvar created a new version for the story nad made a good drama/thriller movie. Great performances from Javier Bardem, Francesca Neri, and Liberto Rabal. The movie has also a small performance from Penelope Cruz.
It was ok until the scene which they decide to go to Leslie Mann's house. Although the name is "Funny People", this movie is actually not funny at all. Jason Schwartzman is the only funny guy in the movie. It is more like a drama than a comedy.
Oh my God! I could not believe that Lazaro Ramos accepted a role in this movie. It was awful. Awful plot, awful acting (besides from Ramos), awful direction. It reminded me one of those really old Brazilian movies that only showed promiscuous stuff and were actually really bad movies.
Much better than what I was expecting and heard about it. Samuel L. Jackson plays the tough cop who looks more like a gangster as usual. It was nice that they got the old and original Shaft. The scene with the two bad guys talking and one of them decides to take a dump at the same time was funny but unnecessary.
In one of his first movies, Sean Penn gives us a great performance followed by great plot and direction. The ending might seem a little bit disappointing though.
One of the worst horror movies I've seen. The cast looks like a bunch of pornstars who do not know how to act. The story was weak and badly developed. Besides the fact that the killing scenes were awful with bad angles.
Kinda like more unrealistic version for "Forrest Gump." The beggining was weird, but had a good ending. Ewan McGregor's southern accent was almost perfect.
I think that North Korea is the country in the world that makes us more curious to know about them. Because they are so isolated from the rest of the world, it is hard to imagine how it is to live in that country and also a lot of bad stories were created about them. Thus, the most shocking thing from watching that movie is that most of the stories are actually true. This movie is a really good documentary that shows a normal day in life of a typical North Korean family. This movie shows us in a very explicit way the hate for the USA and the admiration to that repressive dictator that they have.
One of the best movies with Kevin Costner. The story is good, but i could be shorter. I still do not understand the importance of the guy that committees suicide in his office in the beginning of the movie. It was an unnecessary scene. Great landscapes are shown in this movie.
