Wow, wow, wow...By the time I wrote this review, all the Joker line is still inside my head. "let's put a smile on that face !!!" still banging my mind and made me believe this is the real Joker at the real life. Salute to the late Heath Ledger that by his performance put him above previous Joker played by Jack Nicholson and put him in the same level of Daniel-Day Lewis in terms of Acting skills. I would support Heath Ledger and Christopher Nolan to get an Oscar for this movie, not only it's a good movie with the great, fresh, pschycotic and mind twisting story and plot, he actually able to bring all his cast to the maximum level of acting and influence. Aaron Eckhart is the wild card that make this movie even better since he played his role very well and magnificent beyond expectation, from now on his name will be remember by all of us since he just raised his standard. And as usual, Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were also the strong pilars that holds this movie upwards to certain limit and cannot be taken as an ordinary movie. Christopher Nolan is great director, no one can see this coming, especially by the hyped that already live since last year, and he prove it that it's not just about the hype. In my eyes watching the Dark Knight is a proof that The Prestige concept can be blend with Batman Begins foundation with a lot of additional x-factor, one of them is the late Heath Ledger. I'm surely want to watch it again and bought the Blu-Ray. Phenomenal movie

The best movie of all time, definitely my favourite one, great cast and all of them delivered a world class acting, the story plot was amazing and the ending was unexpectedly amazing, a must watch movie in your life

One word that describe this movie. Beautiful!. Why?, infact it was Dark, Gore, Disgusting and not much script involved in this movie. However, if you able to see it as a whole, this movie was made from a beautiful collaboration between Cinematography, Music, Script, Acting, Story Plot and all those Disgusting, Dark, Gothic and Violent scenes. I've made my choice, this is my favorite movie of all time to date. Salute to Tim, Johnny and Helena.

This movie is become my favorite movie of all time, leave Sweeney Todd to the second and Shawshank Redemption to the third. It's a beautiful story, magnificent cinematography and fantastic acting from all the actors in this movie. I couldn't even blink my eyes to let myself loose one scene after another since the emotional bounding between actors and audience is so strong and I should remind myself that Life will not always beautiful, you need to stand out for your self and overcome the ups and down. Great movie of value of life that can teach everyone to be grateful for what you have.

Five stars from me for this movie. Not because of DiCaprio, Scorcese nor Diaz, but because of Daniel Day-Lewis presence and the story itself. The story is grade A supported by grade A cinematography. Scorcese can take the credit here since he manage to turn a long story and script to a very exciting movie with a full grip through it. I've even cannot miss any line in the movie since its all very intimidating and sarcastic. However, Daniel Day-Lewis was the highlight in this movie, by successfully once again delivered his performance standard and transform Bill "The Butcher" Cutting to be iconic as Day-Lewis in the real life and other movie as well. Comparing his performance in "There will be blood", this one deserve an oscar more than that one. Violence, intense, psychotic, elegant and cunning were the right words to describe this movie. Well done guys.

Outstanding movie. Fresh story line and plot gave us a new feel of twisted movie by its uniqueness and characteristic. False prophet combined with greedy oil businessman is the best intelectual combination of evil theme that you can get, especially supported by unbelievable performance of Daniel Day Lewis that surely deserve his oscar, now I realized that even Johnny Depp is nowhere near him on acting. Paul Dano was brilliant as well, however I need to give credit to Paul Thomas Andersen that pull this off by putting the all the pieces to be a world film masterpiece.

A masterpiece from David Fincher. Fresh and great story combined with fantastic cinematography and great acting from all cast made this movie interesting and intriguing which forced the audience to keep guessing the big picture. As always David Fincher bring his own signature to this movie as well with his out of the box concept and mind game. A great movie to watch though it's been quite late for me to watch it, well, better late than never.

I really don't know how to start to review this movie. It blown my mind. Wonderful story about life, courage and spirit to fight the pain. Hillary Swank was awesome colliding with the master in acting such as Clint Eastwood and Morgan Freeman which always fantastic from their experience. Marvelous script and cinematography bring up this movie to be semi-documentary style of movie that still respectable and enjoyable to watch more than once. They deserve all of their oscar appreciation, but even without all of that, they surely got high appreciation from all of the viewers around the world. Brilliant to highest level.

Eventhough people give bad mark on this movie, I would still make this movie as my favourite horror series. Why? I feel that the idea was a breakthrough, and for this kind of movie, eventhough the actor only perform at par, you will get carried away by the story path that the director gave. You will enjoy every minute of this movie just as like you're also in that scene. By the time you reach the ending, you will face a classic cliffhanger and you will ask "what will happen after that".

Successfull sequel for the first part. More tragic, more dramatic, more action throughout the movie. Once again I let myself followed the path that the director gave to me and still wondering "what happened next" in every minute. I must said that I never see the "next thing" coming in every scene of this movie.

This one is the least favorable movie from the series. I guess maybe the 2nd gave us more realistic visualization of the "accident" and get us to more creepy situation when watching it. This one cannot continue the "Excitement". The plot was the same as the first one and the "accident" are far from reality compare to the 2nd. But I'm glad someone maintain the idea for us to watch.

The best Batman movie so far. Not only captured the heroic related performance, but also acting between cast with a fantastic script to be performed. Liam Neeson is perfect for that character, while Christian Bale was so talented and amazing. I couldn't wait "The Dark Knight" in 2008. Bravo Christophet Nolan!

Impressive Spike Lee's work. The idea was so fresh and simple, and it goes into fantastic script. Clive and Denzel are awesome, other cast only gave their par performance. The end of this movie indicates demand for a sequel. Then it will be sequence that I will wait for. Worth movie to watch for.

I still fancy the real life story of Peter Parker and his best friend Harry, at least it involves some one-to-one acting between those two.

Personally I think this one is the best Spiderman movie in the series so far, since it involves more acting, both related to Peter Parker and the villain. I appreciate the visualization of the Venom, however the Sand Man didn't give us strong impression for a villain. I still like the cinematography and the story plot though.

Robert Patrick is so memorable in this movie, that's the first impression that i've got, great sci-fi and thriller story plot and cinematography, exciting and so far from boring, as usual Arnold's acting wasn't outstanding. However, it's the best of the Terminator series.

Simply Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece, great simbolic story plot of mankind journey over their life and they will be back to their limited state of mind represent by the "room" at the end of the movie. The 3 part of the movie was so brilliant, ancient part of mankind represent their behaviour, the technology part represent their ambition and handicap, and at the end, the "evolution room" part represent mankind destiny through this life. One of the best movie of all time.

Great mafia type kind of movie. I must said that Joe Pesci always suitable for this kind of role. He and De Niro are always able to make gangster atmosphere in such movies. However, I'm quite impressed on Ray Liotta performance in this movie, he gave us a memorable performance.

This movie's highlight belongs to Ben Foster. Christian Bale was good at this movie, so was Russell Crowe, but the attention of acting performance goes to Ben Foster. The story line was already good and Mangold manage to improve the cinematography significantly to be inline with the good script.

Even though the theme of this movie is action and crime, you will easily spot that the essence of this movie is about love without boundries. Neat story line and good script make this movie enjoyable scene by scene. But the strength is nevetheless the acting from all the cast. I'm so lucky I watched this and now take precaution for myself to be able to believe what's the right thing to believe in.

First movie directed by Ben Affleck. It's not bad actually since this movie has a good story line and really close to reality. In acting wise, I must gave credit to Ed Harris since he was amazing in acting, especially as a bad guy. Casey done good, even better than his performance in Jesse James. I guess if the story plot is fresh, has emotional bounding between actors and even with audience, this movie is definitely above average and worth to watch.

Ryan Phillippe could be as good as Matt Damon for the Jason Bourne role, and I've begin to admire Laura Linney's beauty and cannot wait for her next movie. Great cast, script and directing. Overall, cinematography need to be highly appreciated.

Very intense movie with heavy loaded political perceptions. Despite the based story is questionable, I like the cinematography and script that this movie gave to its audience. However, I found it quite wierd and funny that the 4 main cast didn't gave memorable performance in this movie. The other supporting actors that plays the arabic characters act much more intense and memorable than those 4. If you looking for the action-packed heavily loaded political perception movie, you better watch this one.

Without even a big star on the cast line-up, this movie still able to smooth its way to be a legend, and finally I pick my hat off to the director, Mr. Kubrick.

TIA (This is Africa) !!, the theme of this movie was so strong about humanity value in the whole world, even though it's filming a condition in Africa, this things also happened anywhere else in the world. Strong memorable performance from Caprio, Connoly and Hounsou triggered us to sit tight and watched the movie carefully on all its dialog. Great cinematography and directing by Edward Zwick successfully bring the essence of survivalness on this movie. A must watch humanity movie.

Fantastic movie. I appreciate it with 5 star since the acting from Cate and Judi was so brilliant. They're both so talented dealing with feelings and the script, and I must say successfully bring this story to the edge of extreme drama performance from those two. Richard Eyre's cinematography and directing was faboulous, perfectly delivered the message and the intense of this story to the viewer. I want to watch it again to catch all the phrases.

Great thriller and psychotic movie, compare to the other 2008 Oscar nominee, I agree this is the strongest candidate and yet, they've won. Javier Bardem deserve his oscar for supporting role, however the story line didn't impress me much. Cinematography and directing from Coen brother is brilliant, they also deserve their oscar. However, compare side by side with "There Will Be Blood", I guest they deserve the oscar for best picture in 2008 more rather than this movie. But despite all of that, I've still appreciate this movie for 5 star overall. Great one to watch, bravo Coen brother!

Thrill, psychotic and full packed of intense added with sci-fi horror theme made this movie one that you won't miss a minute of it. Prepare yourself towards the ending, since they will hit you from nowhere with great mind setup and reality, although actually what you need to do is stick to your beliefs in the first place rather than falling deep on their story line. Marvelous script and story plot made this movie one of the best animation movie of all time, and yet once again it's from Disney Pixar.

What a script. Twisted plot in beginning part of this movie made this movie mysterious as it can be, but when it reach the middle part, we'll begin to get a strong grip from the script and plot. The ending was the best as the script is getting better towards the end. Tony Gilroy, George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson are performed fantasticly in this movie, they deserve their oscar nominations as this movie does.

Jon Favreau really did a great job by making superhero theme movie as human as it can be without ignoring the acting part, which is what the audience want.

Very entertaining movie in all aspect, especially on "Mozart's Laugh" part. Great plot and story line by showing the history of Mozart on third person perspective, especially if that person is dominated with anger, jealousy, shade and power. Great cinematography and costume design just to replicate the exact situation on that time in every detail. Love the acting of Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abrahams, greatly directed by Milos Forman. A classic that you must watch.

I always love Christian Bale's acting and this one is not exceptional. This is his second prisoner type of movie that his been starred since empire of the sun, but this one is more interaction with the enemy and the jungle. Great acting from all cast and fabulous directing by Werner Herzog. Even though the pace is quite slow, but all the scenes are perfectly compose and beautiful. Be patient and you'll enjoy it.

James Spader is one of my favorite actor to fill lawyer characters, and in this movie he's done it again, played the lawyer part with his unique personality. While, Maggie also perform magnificently for the secretary part. Great script, twisted feeling and interesting story and plot, however, somehow, the concept of this movie is similar with american beauty, I still like it though.

This is a perfect 2.5 hours creepy movie. Why is this movie creepy ?, this movie based on true story and the story is a wicked one about a person that try to denied any human invention and modern behaviour, such as politics, pretenders and etc, and jump him self into conclusion that living in the wild is more natural, meaningful and more exciting compare to living the modern world. Sean Pean and Emile Hirsh done fantastically to present this true story into the big screen. The plot is intimidating and twisted, the ending was creepy and sad. The moral of the story is "Happiness only real if can be share". Great one.

He conclusion is evil can be blended to anyone, young or old. Overall, interesting movie.

I watch it again for the second time. Actually the acting is just at par, however, this movie is quite entertaining. Personally, I think this movie is quite good if you don't think about the fact that it's an adaptation movie of the original "Siworae" movie from Korea. Keanu Reeves was quite fit to the role, since there's not much emotion required for his part of the movie other than cool and romantic. But my attention was always on Sandra Bullock with her lovable face and beauty supporting her sadness and lonely role that demanded to be hungry for romance. Overall, it's quite good movie with great story and cinematography, even though it was an adaptation from previous movie.

Watch out, It's Reavers!!!, Fresh story and casting selection is the most precious thing about this movie. Joss Whedon can pull this off by bringing great acting, story plot and special effect cinematography to this movie, even though he must know it's very difficult to impress the audience for this kind of space science fiction movie. This movie also bring one of the life values which is human can only desire, but only God knows this life will be and its faith through the future. Great action sci-fi for 20th century.

I just watch this movie today and I'm very disappointed of myself for not to watch this movie for long time since it's released. This movie was awesome, with its act from the cast, surrounding setting and cinematography. If you think that this movie is about Alien and its terror about us, then you have to watch one more time, since if you see it in a little bit different perspective, you'll see that this movie is about trust, human relationship, moral and mental ability. I think the Alien part is just a small part of the movie. One of the great sci-fi movie in the 80's, must watch guys.

I just watch this movie on Blu-Ray. As one of Len Wiseman fans (from the underworld series), I found no exception as well in this movie. The story plot was fantastic, the visual effect was off the chart, plus the Bruce Willis factor that drive this movie to be a very intense and entertaining movie, especially on Blu-Ray. Bruce, Justin, Timothy was performing fantasticly, plus all the cinematography surrounding the plot of this movie. Great action movie to watch. Great work mr. Wiseman.

After seeing this movie from the cinema today, I've beginning to think that McAvoy is the UK version of "Tom Cruise". Great range of acting, similar figure and character, I guess James is already climbing his tree to success and becoming mega movie star in the future. This movie is quite standard action movie, but with McAvoy inside, plus Morgan Freeman factor, this movie deserve respect and its credits. Timur has put this movie to the highest limit of cinematography, plot and action, and transforming this movie to be one of the better action movie in the 2000 era. Hat off for James and Timur.

People might not like this one, well then, this time I must stand out for myself cause I like this one. I see this movie as more drama rather than action. I've put out the superhero blanket of this movie and see the connection inside between having normal life and true love or superhero power to live and save the world. Of course sacrificing all for love is the ultimate answer, but if it is risking both individual that in love, then maybe not, I think the message of this movie is quite strong, love is not about being together, love is about doing the best for the one you love. Will Smith and Charlize Theron was great in this movie. Good one to watch.

Begin with short movie, hotel chevalier, which is very provocating on behaviour, it's a perfect way to introduce Jason Schwartzman to us. Nevertheless, in the main movie, Jason Schwartzman was brilliant that he successfully made his character memorable and being the drive towards excitement of this movie. Great movie with great settings and cinematography, also well directed by Wes Anderson. The theme is emotional comedy, however it's all about trust. If you haven't watch this movie, do enjoy the performance of Jason.

I'm so shock that this movie didn't even have any nomination on academy awards at that time. I believe this movie was oscar standard movie with bold and strong true story line and plot with great acting from all the cast plus great cinematography and directing from Barry Levinson. All cast was great, the beautifully performed and maintain balance of the film. A very great plot end with dramatic happiness and bitter feeling in each of the audience, touch the heart to the deepest feeling on a bit of everything. Total compact of feeling captured in this movie. Fantastic movie by my standard.

I really like this short movie, since I found it amusing on watching this one. I've watched before and After Darjeeling Limited. This short dialog movie was so intense, ridiculous and provocative at the same time while both Jason and Natalie exchange their line. Ending was so hilarious. Jason Schawrtzman was very funny and innocent while Natalie Portman are experience and mature in acting. Great combination.

If you're looking for mature and emotional day-to-day human being acting of deep regret, loneliness and loss feeling caught on tape, this is the movie that you're looking for. By watching Tom Wilkinson and Sissy Spacek interact each other in the movie, you will feel the strong emotion and real life relationship of losing a son that being kill by somebody else because of something that they already aware of. These actor performed in this movie deserve their oscar nomination, however, the main point in this movie is weak, which is the story. So if you are interested to watch this movie, don't expect to much on the story, but pay attention on the acting of all the cast inside.

The weakness was its slow pace, however the strong point was its cinematography that really beautiful. Great classical setting view and background collide with the condition that unsafe physically make this movie a unique collaboration of all of that. Naomi Watts was marvelous, Edward Norton was great, however, my hats off for the director, John Curran. Good movie for romance fans, just please be aware of its slow pace.

I just don't know how I felt on this particular movie. As always, Pixar is still the most brilliant animator in this century. The picture quality, animation, lighting and details are marvelous and lovable. But, making a movie that focus on the feeling of a robot is not easy and it is indeed not easy to being captured by the viewer as well. Especially the sound or conversation when there is an interaction between robot, I couldn't get the feeling that they have emotion. Story was great amd innovative, however script needs a lot of improvement. This is now the least Pixar movie I like that I've been watched. Monster Inc. and Ratatouille still my favorite, I'm sorry Wall-E.

Eva, Michael and Louis give us memorable performance throughout this movie by successfully delivered performance involved mix feeling that change in almost every scene. Please don't let the nudity side of this movie blinding your fair perspective on this movie. Keep going and wrap it up in the end of the movie.

I never have been impressed by Dennis Quaid acting and performance in his movies. But that prejudice changed today. I watch this movie today and totally love it. Why ? first, "fresh story". Take the logic out of the equation, this movie has the total package as a exciting thriller movie that involving past and future concept, by not abusing it but used it properly. Second, the "love" factor of this movie is stronger than any other movie. There's no love stronger than a love to a family and all cast did really terrific job on performing their family love expression throughout the movie. Third, the "story plot", which has been the strongest point. By changing something in the past, you'll change the future as well. Once you changed the past, you must keep on that track and take the consequences, even though it's a tough one. Forth, great "lovable ending". This one you've to see it by yourself caused I won't spoil the movie by telling it first before you guys watch it. Promise me you'll watch this one.

One of the most underrated movie of all time. Why ? based on the complexity of this movie which drag all of human side together in wicked way, I believe this movie is worth to watch more than once. Religious blend with music wrapped by common living problem such as sex, married, commitment, drugs and violence give us strong grip to the story and keep following it with help on all cast performance. Of course, Samuel, Christina or even Justin performed the best way as possible. Especially for Justin since acting was not cup of tea, but he done it in style. Great directing and cinematography from Craig Brewer as well. Underrated but good.

Trainspotting ? this is a classic movie that bring drugs-life problems comes to silver screen. The concept was brilliant dark drugs-life blended with disgustingness, silliness and humor. However, if take those accessories away from this movie, you will only feel the dark side of this movie, which was the feeling that I've got, it's almost follow this formula "Requiem for a Dream" + "Snatch" = "Trainspotting". This was the best performance from Ewan McGregor as far as I know and definitely Danny Boyle masterpiece. Great scottish cinematography make this movie one of a kind and memorable throughout the decade. Great classic that breakthrough the community to accept drug-life story in silver screen.

Absolutely amazing movie. Just watch it on Blu-Ray, this movie really delivered everything that exceed my expectation. The setting was in the 80's and this movie delivered that in style together with marvelous cinematography throughout the movie, thanks to Roger Donaldson great directing. The story was good, the acting from all cast was great as well, however they would never exceed the beauty of the setting and the cinematography of this movie. It's almost 2 hours movie, but I guarantee you that you wouldn't get bored, not one bit. Surely, I would watch it again in this few days, especially in Blu-ray, I couldn't resist it.

Racistme is always being a problem in any where in the world and this movie bought it to the silver screen in a very elegant style. Fantastic acting from all cast, especially Hillary Swank and Imelda Staunton performance was top notch. What I've enjoyed the most of this movie was the script and story plot which made this long movie enjoyable and not boring. Richard LaGravenese delivered this movie in high quality with his great directing, cinematography and definitely achieve respect to do a noble effort on directing an educative movie which become one of the best educative movie I've watched so far. Great movie to watch.

This is the only comedy movie that rock this summer. The concept may not be original, however, the execution was fantastic, classy, funny and entertaining way better than Johnny English. Steve Carrel is maximized in this movie, while Anne Hathaway give this movie a diamond shine over the silliness of each scene. I believe this movie is one of the movie build by character inside and cast's chemistry supporting it, such as The Rock, Alan Arkin and everybody else. Not much hype on this one, but surely way over our expectation. Great movie to release stress.

Do you want to know what I feel about this movie after I watched it ? Only one word, Beautiful. How to explain it ? first, it's really beautiful peace of animation art that Pixar delivers in this movie. They successfully make character framed in form of car, but maintain the beauty and uniqueness of the cars itself. Second, beautiful character. Each of them really represent a beautiful individual that bring this cars to life. Emotions showed from this character was so real and touching, couldn't believe that it's coming from cars. Third, beautiful story line. OMG, the frame of sadness of transformation of great town to forgotten town due to interstate highway are still in my mind as one of the touching moment in the animation history. As well as the ending, which was the best ending of all Pixar movie that I've watch. Great movie, thanks to Pixar.

This movie is the weirdest Paul Thomas Anderson's movie that I've watched so far. Story line is very simple, but the script is very twisted. In this movie, Adam Sandler was push himself over his limit of emotion acting and put himself in face-to-face act fight with Philip Seymour Hoffman which was the climax of this movie. The story line and script is very dark, violent, bold and sarcastic, that represent a life of a retarded emotional boy that looking for love and respect. Great acting from all cast, with very empirical setting in each scene. Good movie to watch, but mind the mix feeling after watching it, since in every Paul Thomas Anderson's movie, his weapons are always the word and sentences.

This movie is Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu personality. Fragment of life was always the main point of all his movie and his uniqueness was those fragment of life will collide in one thin red line in some point, just like amores perros. But for this, he used human relation as the collision point of those stories inside the movie. Successfully maximized all the cast to live up those stories and push it to certain extreme stories of human lives. Fantastic cinematography, script and acting captured in this movie. One message come across, our life is really previous, however, we need to be able to value it ourself before we can see it that way.

Pretty good movie that told us a common family condition these days with all the complication arises and norm fighting towards the children. It successfully brings a worst situation of divorce and competitive husband and wife relationship and its impact towards their children. Completely over the hill ego of parents may damage the perspective of their children to believe what was wrong and denied what was right. Presented in very bold, sarcastic, mind twisting script and plot collide with common husband and wife emotion make this movie as real as the common live. One thing for sure, by watching this movie, both parents and kids should understand what their doing to them self and their surroundings. Great common condition movie to watch.

This is a must movie for me to watch considering I'm a Disney Pixar movie lover. I'm not going to comment about the animation since definitely over my expectation, or should I said brilliant. The main attraction of this movie was the story. This movie bring forward the point that everything comes in the mind. The ants is not weak, they are very strong if the realized it and they can fight anything if they are united. That's actually a very good value of life. Teamwork and unity can overcome anything in this world. The strength is not in our physical power, but in our mind and heart. If we want it, we will achieve it. Great one to watch and very educative for children.

We own the night : More than just a crime drama movie. Why is that? it is because the underlying emotion plot on this movie is based on love to people closed to them. Family love is substantially takes more than half of the movie mood, while love to people trusting them takes the rest. The action and crime was only on small bit of the movie, which makes this movie full pact of great acting from its casts. I really appreciated Joaquin Phoenix and Mark Wahlberg's direction on producing this and of course, give their best acting on this movie. James Gray should get the credit as well since he successfully make the cinematography memorable and motivate all cast to give their best which result brilliantly, even Eva Mendes act above the par and Robert Duvall plays important emotion plot inside the movie. Definitely must watch 2007/2008 movie.

I found this movie is entertaining. Talking about all the nonsense inside it and the one man show concept through the movie, we shouldn't forget the plot set and acting from the cast. Monica Bellucci was marvelous and sensual in the movie blend with great sarcastic and psychotic acting from Clive Owen. Paul Giamatti really trying very hard to play a bad guy in this movie but still doesn't maximized his talent yet. One thing I still remember about the movie is the compact shooting coreography that Michael Davis put inside the movie and the cinematography and setting which successfully bring dark and cruel environment. Entertaining action movie, but may not be suitable for Drama lovers.

One word that describe this movie. Sweet. The concept was brilliant, which is maximizing several short movie with free interpretation ending for the viewer to conclude them self. Great setting for love story, without limitation, bold, honest and transparent which taken place in paris. Fantastic fresh cast from different part of the world with magnificent director in the world today including Coen brothers, Walter Sales and many more. Beautiful script and story throughout the movie made the viewer captured a lot of value of love through the story. Great compilation for true love seeker.

This movie doesn't have strong base story from start to beginning. However, I really appreciate the performance from all cast in this movie, that quite strong and passionate, in particular Sylvester Stallone and Milo Ventimiglia. Sylvester Stallone as director can definitely bring the best cinematography and direction for the actor to keep continuing the momentum of the previous rocky with all his history and interpretation of a boxing champion and legend. Entertaining movie but surely not as exiting as previous series.

One of best Indonesian movie that I've watched to date. Fantastic base story with beautiful performance from all the cast especially Vino, makes this movie great, dark and gritty. Fantastic cinematography and directing from Upi Avianto, that always put the story as consistent as possible to the real life, which has been so cruel these days. Vino has prove the world that he has the ability to play any kind of role with great acting and interpretation of the character that always amazed the viewer again and again and again. Bravo Vino, fantastic movie bang Upi.

This is the first time I see an Indonesian movie that really describing the real condition of life outside the big city and outlying island of Indonesia. Great directing by Riri Riza and definitely great performance by all cast including the newly introduced young actor and special applause to Ikranagara's performance in this movie. We surely feel the pain, love and spirit inside Laskar Pelangi, however the movie doesn't have the answer to those problems. Be grateful for what you have right now, since there are still lots of people that not so fortunate like us, like the story of Laskar Pelangi, great movie to watch.

Nice road story concept and implementation by Riri Riza from the beginning to the end of the movie. However, don't expect any turbulence or peak point inside the movie. The scene inside the movie are just reporting and brought up of what happened this day in Indonesia in the teenager perception. Quite alarming for parents but something need to be done with it. Adinia and Nicholas was perfect to play those role and what I like was the chemistry is there and they can make the viewer keep guessing what happened next, and by the time the movie reach the ending, the viewer still keep guessing what happened next, and found out what the director want to say. The thing that must not happened need to be stress out that it must not happened. Full of life warning and values. Please pay attention and avoid it.

Well, despite of several negative fact about the movie, I quite like this one. The cinematic concept almost the same with another Ridley Scott's movie American Gangster, but this one is darker and bolder. Great cinematography and directing by Ridley Scott as always can make the story more contrast and radical in every second of it. Di Caprio doing very well on playing an unstabilized undercover agent while Crowe successfully played the master mind of the operation (which I think the role style is almost the same as the one that he has on The Insider). Great controversial movie with a lot of blast to the screen and set in several big City in the world. Entertaining I must say.

Full packed entertaining movie. Humor, action, love, silliness and etc. can be found in Quickie Express. Nice real concept cinematography by Dimas Jay to bring up the successfully silly acting by Tora Sudiro and Aming on sensitive issue like prostitution, gay-ness, employment, love, violent or even economy into a easy watching moral movie such that the viewer can be relaxed while keep paying attention to it. Sandra Dewi performed not bad in this movie which is her first big screen movie. A must watch Indonesian movie.

Marc Forster really dissapointed me with this one, I almost feel this is not his work, it is nowhere near Finding Neverland and The Kite Runner. I really love the re-boot of 007 series that bring the essence of survival and roughness on Bond character as root of the theme, blended with fight and mind game that weâve seen in recent year Casino Royale, and based on that, I have such a high expectation from Quantum of Solace that at least this movie can maintain the essence that beautifully pioneered by its predecessor. It did not meet that expectation, and I found that Marc has turn Bond movie to be more like a Bourne movie with all the 4 kind of chasing, boat, automobile, foot, plane. You wonât find the mind game in this movie. Despite those particular flaw, Daniel Craig still amazed me with his acting, while other character was so plainly performed, the casts surely can do better, the director surely can be stricter. If you want to watch this movie, please lower down your expectation, you wonât find this one in the same level of the last bond movie, Casino Royale. Hope the producer re-think how to make it better in the next one, as for Marc, I believe he will make a way better movie next time.

First, this is Darren Aronofsky’s work, and if you remember Requiem for A Dream, he is always consistent to the word, realistic. So is this movie, realistic story, plus realistic setting, plus realistic emotion, plus realistic tragedy, and this is turns out to be a beautiful collaboration in his direction. Great decision to choose Mickey Rourke to play the leading role, it was similar to what his been through, so as expected, Rourke makes the role personal and perform it beautifully. Hope he gets the oscar for this one, although Sean Penn maybe difficult to conquer. Marisa Tomei is one of actress that can bring herself to the edge to add significant feel to the movie by her performance. And yes, in this movie, Marisa is fantastic, she takes the role as if she has been through those situations, and expected oscar nomination finally came to her. The wrestler is one of the movie highly valued in 2008, definitely a memorable movie for myself.

Dramatically beautiful movie. I can take a paint as analogy for this movie, since there’s significant contrast and lots of strokes between the emotion and mood on the first half of the movie that totally different with the one in the second half of the movie. The story was fresh and supported by a great script, successfully describing the emotion of love and denial, also give another point of view of ex-Nazi SS members that only following orders and what they feel. The casting was perfect, Kate Winslet perfectly potrait Hanna Schmits, while David Kross was unexpectedly perform very well as the young Michael Berg with his innocently hunger for love and sex, and Ralph Fiennes plays the ending point role as successful lawyer and reader Michael Berg. Kate Winslet acting was very memorable on the court scene which mixing all human emotion within short scene, she deserved her recent oscar winning. Stephen Daldry deserve his oscar nomination which this beautiful directing of his. Overall, one of the best movie in 2008.

I bet many of you watched or want to watch this movie on the basis that people talk about how good it was or the nominations/awards that this movie get in this year movie awards all over the world. Yes, I get that feeling as well, and rushing to watch this movie once I’ve time. Before watching this one, I’ve imagine that the setting and cinematography aren’t far from other Danny Boyle’s legend “Trainspotting� and it is what I actually found indeed. The strength of this movie is the story, which is life survival story combined with love, and dream. The acting was at par, nothing special. However, Danny Boyle make this movie memorable in his direction and with a good touching story and beautiful innocent script in place, it wasn’t hard for him to make this one an impressive movie. Definitely a must watch movie, great contender for this year oscar.

I'm not a fan of this kind of movie, I watched this one to release my stress. I found this movie not there enough to release the stress, not that entertaining, the script is so-so, and the acting is definitely not there. However, I still appreciate the underlying essence of this movie, which is about true love to your best friends that has been hiding for years that always being denied. Totally love Elizabeth Banksâs performance in this movie, but I believe she has more talent to show to the world by taking up more challenging role in the future. If you have enough time, go ahead watch it, but I suggest using your time to watch lots of beautiful movie out there.

Lots of my friend associated this movie to "The Pursuit of Happyness"�, and I'm one of the admirers of that movie, so, I finally dedicate some time to watch this one. Better than expected, the story may not be as strong as The Pursuit of Happyness, but definitely directed better and contain far better acting from Will Smith and other casts. Will Smith is the highlight of this movie, since he gives his full capacity as an actor in this movie. When you see it, you may not directly understand what his character trying to do, but if you see it in a bit and pieces in each scene, you will find out that he is surely doing the best that he can and give a lot of passion and feeling to the character. I believe this movie has give the world a proof that Will Smith is not just a regular actor, heâ??s ready to take challenge in any kind of part. The story is beautifully scripted by Grant Nieporte and properly directed by Gabriele Muccino. Watched it, and I believe you wouldn't regret it.

First, I always like movie based on Nazi history due to their pride, intense and politics. This one is not an exception. Considered this movie as a historical documentary, viewers already know the outcome of this movie before they even see the trailer, however there are still some potential points to make this movie good such as acting, directing, dramatizing plot, cinematography and etc. Bryan Singer and the production team did a good job on several of them such as cinematography and directing, however there’s still something missing on acting and dramatizing the plot. The plot can be explore further or deeper to expand the emotion, and as for acting, I believe the movie could be more intense to give Stauffenberg’s part to actor in Denzel Washington’s caliber rather than Tom Cruise, and also gave Hitler’s part to Bruno Ganz (from the movie “Das Untergang (The Downfall)�), Bruno Ganz is the best actor to play Hitler, hands down. Final say, good movie, but once you watched it, you’ll feel it’s enough for you.

Overall, this is a very enjoyable movie. Although the story is not that strong and considered tasteless, I quite enjoy the setting and acting from all cast. Rebecca Hall and Penelope Cruz are my highlights, while Bardem and Johannson just there to complete them. The script has been the main point of this movie, and I found it very amusing and entertaining, furthermore, it’s also diversified by two languages. Very good movie for family and friends occasion, pay attention to the script and you’ll find what I found. Nice going Woody Allen...

The reason why I watched this movie is purely because Jim Carrey. I’m not expecting this movie to be the same level of “The Truman Show�, but at least can humour me with the silly acting from the man himself. The truth is, despite of very usual straight story and “not seriously� acting from all casts, I found that this movie is quite amusing. The director didn’t unleashed Jim Carrey to be as funny as he can be, but through the script, he gives Jim appropriate and proper scene to maximize his humour forces. Nevertheless, one of the flaw of this movie was the plot towards the ending. Since more than first half of the movie plot are dedicated to built up the character image and the climax point, the rest of the movie dedicated to rushingly lead down the plot straight to the ending. Viewers will feel the plot is not smooth and the ending is not the best. Overall, it was a better movie of Jim Carrey, where the balance between serious and fun meet.
