This was a good movie. It makes it look like counting cards is easy, but it ain't! Good moral to the story: Gambling won't pay for everything, and you gotta earn your own way in life, and be careful or get screwed.
Hey, you should really see this!

    Pineapple Express Pineapple Express
    4.0 Stars by Bannan
So, I honestly would say it doesn't really matter which state of mind you just happen to be in when watching this movie...because regardless you're totally going to enjoy the enitrety of it!

So, when Dale Denton (process server who delivers the news to people in a variety of colours and shapes) goes to get some ganja from his dealer, Saul Silver, strange things occur. Things are awkward as Saul tries to what looks like 'hang out' with one of his clients...and ends up selling him some 'pineapple express' flavour. This is supposed to be the 'rarest' of all weed.

Denton tries to not linger for longer than needed...but gets distracted when he's introduced to the 'future' of smoking. He leaves in order to server some guy named Ted Jones...and whilst smoking strange things occur. A police cruiser pulls up behind him, so he hides in his car but doesn't get caught. Instead he sees a skirmish at the top windows of this Ted person and witness the police woman kill an asian man.

Scared shitless he tosses the roach and after much [hilarious] difficulty ends up driving away somewhat inconspicuously. Not knowing where to go he goes to Saul's place for advice..and then finds out just how rare the weed he was smoking was...and that Ted just happens to be the dealer that Saul goes to to share his wares. Then things get extremely strange whilst they try to run from the police and the drug dealers that are after them due to what Denton witnessed.

The chemistry between Franco and Rogen is just simply stunning, they both have this charisma that when on screen and interacting...it just seems so natural. Actually you Freaks and Geeks fans...it reminds me exactly of -that- show! xD

It was actually funny as the situations and antics these two stoners get into whilst trying to run and defend themselves at the same time is just such a farce. Half of the quotes in here are so memorable and the references they make you know shows that the scene was written especially to be able to say and do these things.

To make things more interesting, the element of violence, car chases and and (gun) fights...makes this also an action movie worth watching.

It's funny...because depending on who you are...there are parts in here that people might be able to relate to...and that in turn would make you laugh so hard that your stomach would totally hurt like hell after. Catch your breath! You might wanna watch it again...I know I will!
    ;]
Regardless if you're into this sort of thing, are a huge Apatow fan, or are straight edge as anything..this is definitely the film that'll make you laugh so hard.

Probably would recommend this to anyone and everyone...you never know there might be something in here you might relate to..or if not, just watch the magic between Rogen and Franco unfold.

It's not your typical 'I must find justice' kind of movie where the character is looking for whomever caused its death.

So, it's the story of this kid named Nick Powell who is just a week away from graduation and wants to go to this writing course in London, England. Of course, since his mother does not approve he buys a ticket and plans on flying there anyways - seeing how he has all his credits already.

It turns out his friend Pete got a cell phone from a real bad crew of kids, who threaten him as he hasn't paid them yet for it. So, Nick goes over to them and tries to pay off Pete's debts...but Annie does not approve.

He ends up riling her up to the point of her attacking him in their cafeteria...so things get a little heated. That very same night our antagonist goes on a crime spree with her boyfriend, Marcus and ends up stealing some really expensive jewellery. He proceeds to tell her she's out of control, and asks her to leave the bag with the jewels...but she doesn't. She just takes it and keeps claiming he'll do nothing.

Marcus doesn't think this is fair, and then calls the authorities on her. Annie gets to school the next day, and while stashing the jewels in her locker catches Pete looking at her. Later on, the cops come and arrest her. She then decides to take things into her own hands, and figures Pete told on her.

Pete gets in big trouble, they beat the crap out of him while he pleads with her and instead turns their attention to his friend, instead. Meanwhile, Nick is drunk off his ass wandering the roads...when this car starts chasing him. Things get really ugly so that he's knocked unconscious.

They all get scared and stash his body inside a storm drain. The next day, Nick wakes up...and realizes that he is not amongst the living...but quite close to being dead.

Soon, he discovers that his only salvation is ironically enough the person that put him into such a fatal position.

Although none of these actors are altogether that well-known, they do put on quite a decent amount of acting skills.

The most interesting however, must be the interaction between Annie and Nick [or Nick's spirit, that is].

Just goes to show us how people are, when you don't see them. And that well, you might not really know a person at all.
This is quite an intriguing film, not your typical...you killed me...and I must find you kind of plot line. Take a look, it's got some pretty decent acting in here and pretty nifty perspectives as well.

This movie really surprised me, I'm not sure whether it was the way the younger kids interacted with each other...or the language which they used so casually was what completely intrigued me. It seemed to be a darker version of what being a twelve-year-old in modern day society entails.

It starts off with two mischievous brothers being chased by bullies, one is up the ladder to their treehouse and then the other [submissive, shy and quieter] one eventually follows. Rudy [the impulsive one] ends up dumping a pail of urine onto the two which results in a series of wretching...followed by many death threats.

The two brothers are quite different, one is outgoing, completely social seems to have the entire world at his fingertips. Whereas Jacob, the introverted one wears a hockey mask [like Jason Voorhees because he's badass] to cover up the large birthmark on his face.

Their father keeps getting requests to sell the land, but refuses seeing that his kids play there and feels there is no price for something like that. Finally, a number comes up that catches his interest...and when Rudy relays this information unto their friends Malee and Leonard he has an idea to save the treehouse...sit in.

Malee decides not to indulge her best friend's wishes, yet Leonard is pulled in instantly - peer pressure? Rudy sneaks off in the middle of the night, while Jacob quietly watches from the top bunk. His brother insults him as he finally leaves and explains that it's his fault that the two bullies are always following them around. You need to stick up for yourself, stop being such a pussy!

Regardless of his brother's tauntings, Jacob stays...and Rudy leaves. Rudy and Leonard camp out in the treehouse, whilst sleeping soundly they are oblivious to the fact that Jeff and Kenny are throwing flaming cocktails at the structure.

Jeff misses, but Kenny doesn't...and only when they hear screaming does Jeff take off...but Kenny stays and sees as Leonard falls from the ladder. He goes towards him, realizes they messed up and runs away.

Leonard earns a second chance, and with that...he tries to fix things to make his family healthy...and goes to extreme measures to do just that.

As Rudy is not so lucky, his death takes a toll on the entire community...especially all his friends and brother. Jacob seethes with rage, quietly...and questions why his parents are so quick to move on. He doesn't really get over or tries to, his brother's death for that matter.

Meanwhile, Malee is the daughter of a psychiatrist who doesn't seem to have the best of relationships with her mother. She meets one of her mother's patients and begins to develop very strong feelings toward him - that is perhaps how Rudy's death had effected her?

This is the story of how the remaining kids learn to deal with tragedy...and the terrible process of growing up. This is when they learn to be unlike their parents, and being placed in different situations...they grow into the people they might one day become.

It's a very interesting head on collision of parenthood and being a pre-teen combination. It's humorous at times, but it's quite relatable as well...especially when the children try to find themselves while their parents remain being lost.
Not a typical movie for a part of life..that once seemed so simple. Quite intriguing and the acting in here was just incredible...the title itself says enough...could you picture being in any of their shoes?
