The Lucky Ones The Lucky Ones
    by LYNN
Rachel McAdams, Tim Robbins, Michael Pena

After suffering an injury during a routine patrol, hardened sergeant TK Poole (Peña) is granted a one-month leave to visit his fiancé. However, when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York, TK agrees to share a ride to Pittsburgh with two similarly stranded servicemen, Cheever (Robbins), an older family man who longs to return to his wife in St. Louis, and Colee (McAdams), a naive private who?s pinned her hopes on connecting with a dead fellow soldier?s family. What begins as a short trip unexpectedly evolves into a longer journey. Forced to grapple with old relationships, broken hopes and a country divided over the war, TK, Cheever and Colee discover that home is not quite what they remembered and that the unlikely companionship.

-Really liked this film a lot. Rachel McAdams was so good in this movie. Tim Robbins.. I mean he is one of the best actors out there. He was amazing as always. Really liked Michael Pena. I haven't seen him in many films and thought he was great. The acting, the script, all of it was great. It was funny, sad, and just really good. I would call this a dramedy. Really good watch.

Talking to Heaven (Living with the Dead) Talking to Heaven (Living with the Dead)
    by LYNN
A man begins to have disturbing visions of dead people, among whom are his mother and victims of a local serial killer. The detective investigating the murders looks to him for help in solving the case.

This is a great watch. One of the best movies I have ever seen. I had the luck of finding this on T.V. today. I enjoyed it so much that I would love to find this on DVD.
The guy (Ted Danson) is on one hand trying to help a detective solve a series of murders but also cope with his new found "talent" that he does not want, along with other personal troubles. His father played by Jack Palance is a non-believer and doesn't want to hear about his son's new talent. But his close friend (played by Queen Latifah) is a believer and encourages him to use his talent.
This movie is a mixture of a thriller, suspense, and drama. Definitely one of the best (if not the best) T.V. made movies I have ever seen. It alternates chilling and moving moments without any false note, using misdirection and red herrings with consummate skill. It keeps you guessing throughout the movie until the end. So if you like a good ghost story, then this is a movie you don't want to miss. Has all the elements to give you chills.
    A must see...

I recommend you see this movie on the off chance you have nothing better to do like me. Other then that I would take a pass on this film. Wish I did, but being a Bruce fan, had to see it for myself.
    Surrogates Surrogates
    by LYNN
THIS MOVIE LOOKS CRAZY... REALLY DIFFERENT CAN'T WAIT..

Plot: People are living their lives remotely from the safety of their own homes via robotic surrogates ? sexy, physically perfect mechanical representations of themselves. It?s an ideal world where crime, pain, fear and consequences don?t exist. When the first murder in years jolts this utopia, FBI agent Greer (BRUCE WILLIS) discovers a vast conspiracy behind the surrogate phenomenon and must abandon his own surrogate, risking his life to unravel the mystery.

Well I waited awhile to see this, and once again a dissapointment. There was just no reason at all to put the script to a film. It was just boring and D.O.A. From begining to end. Definitely have seen better work from Bruce Willis. The concept is slightly like I-Robot. The only difference is the humans live their lives through these robots.
The movie was just very bland for me, and there was just not enough action.

I think anyone who gets easily scared or creeped out should definitely see this movie. But for those of us who love scary films and aren't easily scared, then I would take a pass on this one.

This movie looks to be a really scary flick. Hope it holds up to its hype..

Well I watched this movie last night with my sister. I am sad to say that for ME, it did not add up to all the hype it was getting. The whole scenario is yes, creepy. But it fell short. Not enough "creepy" moments for me. I thought the movie was quite boring until it got about thirty minutes into it. The acting was somewhat believable, and for it to be a very low budget film, I thought it held it's own when it came to the special effects.
Overall it was just OK for me.

    Couples Retreat Couples Retreat
    by LYNN
A comedy centered around four couples who settle into a tropical-island resort for a vacation. While one of the couples is there to work on the marriage, the others fail to realize that participation in the resorts therapy sessions is not optional.

Classic Vince Vaughn movie. Lot of one liners and awkward funny moments. Has a great cast. Really liked this movie. A laid back comedy that is well worth the watch. Jason Bateman and Kristen Bell were great together as well as Jon Favreau and Kristin Davis. Really loved the chemistry between Vince Vaughn and Malin Akerman. Love to see them do another movie together.

Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
    by LYNN
Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant, based on the popular series of books by Darren Shan, is a fantasy-adventure about a teenager who unknowingly breaks a 200-year-old truce between two warring factions of vampires. .

I really enjoyed this movie. First movie I have seen with Chris Massoglia, and for him to be a lead I think maybe he wasn't the best choice. I really would have loved it to been Josh Hutcherson. Instead he was cast as the bad boy - best friend. I just think his acting was stronger. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Chris Massoglia's acting, and he played well off of John C. Reilly. I just thought Josh would had made for a better lead.
John C. Reilly was very funny. It was nice to see him do something very different from his past roles. I liked Patrick Fugit, as the snake boy, as well. Thought he was sarcastic and funny. Josh Hutcherson, played a good bad boy. Just thought all the characters were fun and really interesting.
It was a fun and funny movie. I would think anyone who has or hasn't read the books will enjoy it. I haven't read the books, but after seeing the film, I am definitely going to..

Amazing, like a breath of fresh air! Wow this movie really surprised me,so intellectual as a film. In fact it very well make the average viewer feel like an idiot. The whole movie takes place in a dream like state, the main character talking to or rather listening to people rant on a particular subject. Each one is memorizing and captivates you almost like you are in a college course or something.
Another plus is the amazing animation. They switch between animators so each scene seems refreshing to me. Although I must admit some of the scenes gave me a headache.
I think my favorite scene was when he was talking to the man about dreams. This really opens your mind to some interesting stuff. Like controlling your dream once you are aware that it is a dream and that you can tell its a dream when you can't turn off the light switch.
Some may be bored by this film, but the one thing you can't say is that its not original. Its one of the most original movies I have ever seen, always kept me captivated! On top of all of this it has a great ending. What more can you ask for in a film?

Guy Forsyth: Did you ever have a job that you hated and worked real hard at? A long, hard day of work. Finally you get to go home, get in bed, close your eyes and immediately you wake up and realize... that the whole day at work had been a dream. It's bad enough that you sell your waking life for minimum wage, but now they get your dreams for free.

    Before Sunrise Before Sunrise
    by Kevin
Great movie! Nothing short of a masterpiece,in my eyes this is a perfect love story. Screw, the Notebook, fuck A Walk To Remember, this is the ultimate romance of out time! This movie so original, taking you into a journey into two strangers live for about 1hour and 40 mins. They enrich us with their deep conversations. The stories about their first love experiences, never before have I have to engaged in to what two characters had to say on screen. For the most part the dialogues felt natural and unforced. Ethan Hawke and Juli Delpy felt almost perfect for each other and the part. There wasnt a second that I denied their chemistry on screen. I could tell that they were falling in love, they may never meet again, but that didnt matter to me,just that they were in the moment for one night. Perfect...

Jesse: You know what's the worst thing about somebody breaking up with you? It's when you remember how little you thought about the people you broke up with and you realize that is how little they're thinking of you. You know, you'd like to think you're both in all this pain but they're just like "Hey, I'm glad you're gone".
