Very fun movie that doesn't take itself too seriously! Dustin Hoffman is great although this wasn't one of his best performances, but the movie didn't require Oscar-worthy acting. Natalie Portman and Jason Bateman are both excellent as well. It's a nice feel-good movie.
Dan in Real Life Dan in Real Life PG-13 3.5 Stars
Steve Carrell and Dane Cook are gorgeous and sexy! Dianne Wiest is phenomenal, of course!
The rest of the movie? So-so. It was rather predictable and there weren't many surprises. There are some great laughs, though.
Dan's teen-aged daughters are poster children for birth control. They are guaranteed to remove any parental instincts from anyone, and great examples of what can happen if you don't use condoms.
American Gangster American Gangster R 4.0 Stars
Great movie! I was very surprised that this wasn't overly violent and bloodthirsty like "Four Brothers". There are a number of kilings but it didn't turn into a blood-bath. There was one scene but it didn't define the whole movie.
It's great to see Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe and Cuba Gooding, Jr. giving it their all.
I loved the scene between Denzel Washington and Cuba Gooding, Jr.! Wow! The scenes between Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe were great, too, but didn't have the passion.
This movie didn't get bogged down into heavy drama either. It kept going at a good pace and relied on great dialogue and writing to make a wonderful movie.
Meet the Robinsons Meet the Robinsons G 4.0 Stars
Although this one didn't have the sight gags and slap-stick humor that Walt Disney's CGI flicks usually have, it was definitely one of the warmer ones. It had a simple message, with a happy ending. You couldn't even hate the bad guy! Great movie! One to watch over and over.
Beowulf (2007) Beowulf (2007) PG-13 2.5 Stars
I have to admit that the CGI was fantastic! Especially the climatic scene with the dragon. There were obvious places that live action was incorporated into the CGI giving it a more realistic feel to the scene.
But even the spectacular special effects couldn't make up for the 180 degree turn-about from the actual legend. One needed to stand at least 6 blocks away, upwind to get away from the stench. Beowulf is a hero of legend, and this movie made him into a narcissistic, self-absorbed, glory-seeking ho.
If you wanna make a dragon story, make one up, but don't rip off a legend and then screw it up.
Worth a look, though.
Bee Movie Bee Movie PG 3.0 Stars
It's OK. At least worth a look. but much of the humor is way predictable.

"Remember don't talk to humans!" You can see this one coming an hour and a half away.

The movie started out so slow, I was considering turning it off, but stuck with it. It actually turned out all right. Good for a rainy day when there's nothing else on TV.

I know it wasn't Spielberg's best but it was great slapstick with so many favorite actors!

Jet Li at his best, the legend is brought to life by Jet Li. The movie had very good action with a good story too, the piturisation is very good and the whole of the action looks real. The movie is based on the life of Wang Fei Hung a Chinese martial arts master and also a doctor played by Jet Li.

Once again the Wachowski Brothers did it against. Making another great movie. The colorful backgrounds, those cool cars and of course those stunning CGI. Everything was so anime like. The CGI for those racing sequence are amazing. This is a must watch for all anime fans.

Amazing movie. Great story. The script captures the glibness of the comic while not dipping into campiness. The casting is awesome and all the actors do a fantastic job. The climactic ending, too, could have been in one of the better Marvel books. The film doesn't glut you on overkill action and powers, but rightly develops a character.

This movie probably as close to a perfect film as you're ever likely to see out of Hong Kong. All the elements click: a terrific script, that even manages to subvert the odd cliché, reliably imaginative direction by Johnny To, and excellent central performances by Andy Lau and Ching Wan Lau, the latter displaying his great comic timing to wonderful effect.

No Code Of Conduct is one of those rare action films that is very re watchable. Charlie Sheen is awesome as Jake Peterson, a custom built character for him. The action scenes were great and the end scene with all the pyro was awesome.

The 1st animated Disney classic is the one that started it all. This movie is, in general, an entertaining, amusing, funny sweet movie and everything is beautifully designed and painted. The songs are nice too.
