Tomorrow We Move

Funny in a french way. I could my lungs constricting from all the visual dust...
Match Point
R
The subtly funny dialog and stellar acting (read pouting) do the film justice, though the end is morally disappointing.
Beyond The Clouds
Unrated
the mist is surreal, and casts a spell, a sleeping spell that is. largely a disappointment, given that it was Antonioni's last
Pan's Labyrinth (El Laberinto del Fauno)
R
The imagery of interplayed fantasy-realism is picturesque, and the acting solid. But between the worse-than-nazi Kapitan and the palm-eyed "Pale Man" -- this movie is the kind of stuff nightmares are made of -- and will probably bright about a few, in both children & adults

1.
Casablanca
Unrated
This could be the start of a beautiful friendship... Witty, intense, self-sacrificial, what more could a classic love story ask for
2.
The Legend of 1900
R
Music, Melancholy, Art Deco, and a whole lot of humor thrown in too. Morricone & Roth are geniuses
3.
The Shawshank Redemption
R
Remember, Red, Hope is a Very good thing... and this movie gives you plenty
4.
Moulin Rouge!
PG-13
It's a little bit funny... Come what may, I will rewatch this... until my croaking day...
5.
Ratatouille
G
Like Gustave's this beautufully rendered tail deserves a Michelin 5-star ratating... Definitely best show I've watched this year, with all the rat elements of family squibbles, action/adventure, suspense, humor, and perhaps too happy an ending, but hey, don't we wish all parisian romances had it?
6.
Three Colors: Blue (Trois couleurs: Bleu)
R
Priesner & Kieslowski's best -- my introduction into the world of euro-arthouse, and i've never looked back. The stirring theme symphony grows on you

The Other Boleyn Girl (2003)
by MarkSame story but a different approach from the 2007 version. While the latter is visually appealing, the former's dialogue is superior, which goes a long way to explaining the motives and actions of the principals better.

The Other Boleyn Girl
by MarkThought this film did a good job of portraying the events that ultimately led to England breaking with the Catholic Church. I also rented, by mistake, the BBC version. Will be interested to see how they compare. Although at face value this version seems to be accurate concerning the basic facts.

Cleaner
by MarkEd Harris and Samuel Jackson are the only bright "spots". Predictable and oversanitized.
Hey, you might want to skip this one. If you love Ed Harris or Samuel Jackson maybe put it at the bottom of the "to-see" list.
