Death Race
by DeanA very good if totally OTT action film. A mix of Fast and the furious meets Running Man. Great no-brainer action film to kill 90mins with complete with some seriously modified cars!!

Taken
by DeanA very good nitty-gritty action/thriller. It packs a real punch not just for the great action scenes and fights but also for the storyline and good acting. I wasn't convinced at first at casting Liam Neeson in this type of role, but he plays the part of a doting father hell bent on revenge and getting his daughter back very well.

Bottle Shock
by TomThis is an entertaining film with a nice ensemble cast. Of course Alan Rickman is good in this movie and so is a Pre-Star Trek Chris Pine. It is weird to see Dennis Farina in a movie without him playing a character that swears all the time.

by DeanA very cool stylized action film with plenty of shoot outs and a good cast. If you missed this it's well worth a watch.

Appaloosa
by DeanA very well assembled cast in a high quality produced western, which stars and is directed by Ed Harris. The only real problem I kept waiting for all hell to break loose and the pace to be upped a few gears and unfortunately it never really happens. If you don't mind a slower paced western you will enjoy it, if you are after more action I recommend the remake of 3:10 to Yuma.

Mirrors
by DeanI thought this was a pretty decent horror film overall. Starts well it has a few gory scenes and the old shopping mall has a spooky feel to and a different ending from the usual stuff we get. Tries to be a bit too much like the Ring in the second half but still a enjoyable film all the same.

Terminator Salvation
by DeanA very good addition to the series, better than the 3rd. Full of near non-stop action through out. A whole new range of terminators are on show and there are some great SFX/ action scenes. Some might not like the plot as it does differ from the first 3 where the action is pretty much one on one. This is very much a full on war. Go see it.

X-Men Origins - Wolverine
by JoseX-Men origins: Wolverine the first spin-off/prequel of the X-Men saga and maybe the most anticipated of all. The film has a very good adaptation, even if you're not into the Wolverine story, you will understand perfectly. Its a movie full of action from the very first minute, a little of drama, some very good moments of humor and even a little bit of romance and the special effects are excellent. It has a fast paced rhythm making the movie interesting and never tiresome. The cast is really good, Hugh Jackman for the 4th time in the role of Wolverine/Logan, he already dominates this character, it just looks so natural on him. Liv Schreiber was excellent as Sabretooth/Victor, he manages the character to the perfection. Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Kitsch were great as Deadpool/Wade and Gambit/Remy respectively although I would like to see more screen time from this two characters. In conclusion, this Wolverine movie is enjoyable and entertaining enough. I think it will fulfill all the expectations.

Captains of the Clouds
by TomI really enjoyed the first half of this movie. The second half is also good, just inferior to the first. James Cagney gives another excellent, entertaining performance. I also enjoyed the supporting cast in this film.
