Night of the Creeps Night of the Creeps R 3.5 Stars
I actually enjoyed this film. It was very entertaining. A interesting take on zombies also. This movie seemed to make fun of common zombie B films. But you really have to pay attention to see this. The cast was ok and there were some familiar faces. This is a pretty decent zombie movie.

The Dark Knight The Dark Knight PG-13 4.5 Stars
Ok two things I didn't like but they were not bad enough to ruin the movie for me. One was the story was just slightly off compared to the first one. But still a great story. The second thing swas Batman's voice. It was over used and didn't sound right. But on the good side, the actors, the directors....the ART of the whole movie was still amazing. Heath Ledger was the most incredible character I have seen in a long time. Aaron Eckhart was really good too. Great movie.
License to Drive License to Drive PG-13 3.0 Stars
It was ok. Typical 80s low budget film with some ok music and not a very good story line. This is one of those movies (and they still do it today)where you have two popular teenage stars and you put them in a solo movie that just doesn't work. The corey's are good. But mostly in groups.
Lonesome Jim Lonesome Jim R 4.0 Stars
I actually really enjoyed this story and film. Casey Affleck did a great job and Liv Tyler was decent. But the story of a man feeling like he is at his end and comes to a small nice realization at the end. Not bad. It is very low key and enjoyable. It is a small story that I think we can all relate to.
Mary Reilly Mary Reilly R 3.0 Stars
This was an interesting take on The Dr. Jekll and Mr. Hyde story. It looks at it from another person's eyes. The story line was ok and John Malkovich did amazing, but I couldn't get over how boring the movie was at parts. It really had the story, but not that extra exciting power to at least keep you interested.

Caddyshack 1. Caddyshack R 5.0 Stars
This movie always amazes me for its time. A great cast and a great and funny story. Very funny humor. The added gopher was a great touch to give the movie some more comedy. Bill Murray and Chevy Chase had problems with each other before this movie and they learned to work together for this film. Including the great improve scenes they did together. Rodney Dangerfield was also a nice added touch to the film and since it was rated R they allowed him to be a bit nastier. This movie has everything.
Airplane! 2. Airplane! PG 5.0 Stars
This is a number one classic. The ruler of slapstick movies. You will catch yourself repeating lines from this movie for years. Comedy during this time was different than what you see now a days. And sometimes, it is even better. Great movie.
The Kentucky Fried Movie 3. The Kentucky Fried Movie R 4.0 Stars
The maker's of airplane and animal house get together before they become famous and make this hilarious film of 70's commercial spoofs and a small Bruce Lee spoof movie. Very funny stuff and some great slapstick and subjects you just don't see anymore.
National Lampoon's Vacation 4. National Lampoon's Vacation R 4.5 Stars
Great movie. This would suck to have this happen on vacation. The Griswold family is a classic family everyone will remember. Chevy Chase has a great role and the movie is very funny.
Along Came Polly 5. Along Came Polly PG-13 4.5 Stars
Such a funny movie. I actually watched it like four times in a row. I really did. It has parts that you laugh at every time you watch no matter what. Philip Seymour Hoffman you usually see in a lot of serious rolls. Here is could just be funny and ridiculous. He was a great added comedic talent to the film. The rest of the cast did great too.
Sideways 6. Sideways R 5.0 Stars
This movie always feels like a summer movie and the strip was flawless. The cast was amazing and overall so was the movie. The feel makes you feels so many emotions, but in the end you feel....strange. But in a good way.

Enjoyable if predictable tale of two men linked forever to the past. "Falls" short in the end.

Fatal flaw, a scary movie that isn't scary. A more apt title would be "Gone With the Mist". Thumbs down.
Hey, you should really avoid this! Couldn't stand the stereotypical bible thumping character played by Marcia Gay Harden, although I do enjoy her work. Didn't like the ending either. Big thumbs down!

Same story but a different approach from the 2007 version. While the latter is visually appealing, the former's dialogue is superior, which goes a long way to explaining the motives and actions of the principals better.

Thought this film did a good job of portraying the events that ultimately led to England breaking with the Catholic Church. I also rented, by mistake, the BBC version. Will be interested to see how they compare. Although at face value this version seems to be accurate concerning the basic facts.

Ed Harris and Samuel Jackson are the only bright "spots". Predictable and oversanitized.

This was a wonderful film that really touches your heart. Turned me into a blubbering fool more than once it was so sweet. No other film has touched me so much with so little dialog. And, as expected, the animation was amazing.

    In Bruges In Bruges
    4.5 Stars by Sam
Finally! The movie I've been waiting to see all year. One that is entirely satisfying. And In Bruges delivers!!!

This movie does not disappoint. There is a perfect amount of humor (and oh yeah it's very dark humor) to undercut the drama and action taking place in this movie. And the story has a good amount of suspense. The music is fantastic, and it gives this movie the feeling and power necessary to completely dazzle! The music makes the movie so much more emotionally resonant. There are great performances from Ralph Fiennes (absolutely perfect antagonist and absolutely hilarious at that), Brendan Gleeson (completely connected with his character), and have to save the best for last...COLIN FARRELL! I am officially a fan now, because up until now I have never been that impressed with any of his work...but...WOW! This guy is actually a damn good actor! He just needs to quit starring in bad movies.

It's just got so much working in its favor. I only wish I could've seen it when it was in theaters. And the ending...oh man...THE ENDING!! Without question my favorite movie of 2008 so far!
Yeah I don't usually do much of this movie recommending thing...but this one you should really REALLY check out!

This film was just weird and nothing like previous Guy Ritchie films I've seen. It was a bit convoluted, but kind of came together near the end. I probably need to watch it again to really "get it". Overall, the performances and cinematography were excellent, but I think the plot could have been a little less Twin Peaks and a bit more Fight Club. At times the soundtrack overpowered the voice-over, but I may have had my surround sound set wrong.
I'm interested in reading more opinions on this one from my Flixster friends, so try to watch this sometime.
