Because it's a brilliant story, because Agatha Christie is amazing, this movie already had a head start. Add to it a wonderful director, an amazing cast, and great acting, you get a great movie.

Not close enough to the book for my liking, but not too bad. Good visual effects.

At first, not being a very big Stephen King fan, I was not interested in seeing this movie, no matter how many people raved to me about it. Serves me right for being stubborn. This has become one of my favourite movies of all time. Not only an ingenious plot, but wonderful themes and brilliant film-making. This movie is an uplifting story of hope where there seems to be none, of triumph of the human spirit. I would recommend this movie to anyone and honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing this movie over and over again. DEFINING SCENE ~ I don't mean to ruin the story for anyone, but the scene showing a montage of Andy Dufreyne (Tim Robbins) and how he escaped with a whole heap of cash as well. Ingenius and wonderful

Talk about confronting. Drug use, language, sexual themes are an understatement. This film completely deserved the Palm D'or, and Quentin Tarantino is undeniably a genius. He truly does have the ability to position the audience however he wants. His technique is flawless, and watching the way he uses a shot is so perfectly done it should be outlawed. Being able to do a 5 minute scene in one continuous shot is just ridiculous, especially when it works wonderfully. Apart from Tarantino's genius, the cast does a fantastic job. As Tarantino himself said, the cast made a brilliant script an obsolete document. Travolta's comeback trail begins, Samuel L. Jackson is cemented as being brilliant, Uma Thurman becomes a favourite of Tarantino's and her dance scene is well known even by those who haven't seen the film, Harvey Keitel remains his un-rattle-able self, Ving Rhames is a fantastic gangster, Bruce Willis is a hilariously bad-tempered idiot, and it works. It works so well, I really do want to watch it again. And I only watched it about 5 hours ago... DEFINING SCENE ~ there really are so many. Mia Wallace and Vincent Vega's dance sequence, "Bring out the Gimp", Fabienne's "Whose motorcycle is this?" and the Wolf's clean-up of Jules and Vincent's ridiculous stuff-up. But I would have to say that Mia's mishap of snorting heroine mistaken for crack is a fast-paced mess of ridiculousness, and it's brilliant.
