Kill Bill, Volume 2 (2004,  R)
Kill Bill, Volume 2
Tarantino's best movie ever. And I think that pretty much says everything
2
Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003,  R)
Kill Bill: Volume 1
The first of two excellent movies. The one thing that this one has, that the 2nd part doesn't have, is the element of surprise. The way in which Volume 1 impacts you because of being such a different movie. It compares with nothing seen before.
3
The Big Lebowski (1998,  R)
The Big Lebowski
What can I say about this genius movie? It's fantastic. I don't even know how to describe it. You just have to see it. No reviews will describe it well. Just watch it Dude!
4
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) (2006,  R)
El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth)
I'm still in shock, so if you find my review a bit exagerated, accpet my apologies. This is, for me, one of the most espectacular films I've seen in the last years. This movie has everything. It has some sort of scary scenes; it is also sad and sometimes happy, and it has lots of fantasy but probably not for kids. Guillermo del Toro has made an excellent job. Visually, I found it fascinating. The creatures are great. And the way in which two different worlds co-exist at the same time in a little girl's mind is just perfetc.
5
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004,  R)
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
Wonderful movie. Jim Carrey is excellent playing drama and Kate Winslet is particularly good in this film.
6
Pulp Fiction (1994,  R)
Pulp Fiction
It's just great. Each actor is particularly good in this movie. The music is, of course, fantastic. And it has many memorable scenes.
7
The Usual Suspects (1995,  R)
The Usual Suspects
A master piece! A great story. The actors are veeery good in this movie. Kevin Spacey is perfect.
8
Pink Floyd - The Wall (1982,  R)
Pink Floyd - The Wall
The best band ever, made a film. It seems that Pink Floyd cannot do anything wrong. And this movie is not an exception. Brillant film!
9
A Clockwork Orange (1971,  R)
A Clockwork Orange
A master piece. It's amazing that movie was made more than 35 yeas ago. It's genius.
10
Casablanca (1943,  PG)
Casablanca
It really deserves to be a classic. It has great dialogues. The actors performed excellently. And the ending...I loved it! I think it was a very good idea to do that in 1942. Nobody saw that coming, and there's where the beauty of it is!
11
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005,  PG)
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
I cannot compare it with the book, because I haven't read it yet, but as a movie I must say this is a really good one. It has a mixture of intelligent with stupid humor. It has all kind of unexpected things. The begining of the movie is marvellous. And there are certain times when the book talks, that memorable things are said.
12
El Hijo de la novia (Son of the Bride) (2002,  R)
El Hijo de la novia (Son of the Bride)
A very beautiful movie, it is incredibly sweet and those are some of the best Argentinian actors. It's hard for me to make a review of it. I love this movie. It made me cry, but not of sadness. It's just perfect. I've never seen so much simplicity combined wich excellence in a movie.
13
The Godfather (1972,  R)
The Godfather
What can I say about The Godfather? Does this movies need me to say anything about it? I mean, everything related to the mafia that has been done after this film is inspired or a tribute to this unforgetable masterpiece. This is "MUST" for every film addict.
14
Signs (2002,  PG-13)
Signs
I know some people may think that giving 5 stars to this movie is way too much. But I think that this has to do with the way in which we see this film. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was going to be a science-fiction movie, but then, when I watched it, I realize that that's not at all the aim of this marvellous film. I cannot express what this makes me feel. The aliens are so secondary here. The really point of it is the "signs" part, but not refering to the marks that the aliens leave on the fields. This movie is about the terrible things that may happen to us in our lives, and take away all our faith. It's about how things that we once thought insignificant or disturbing may change and become highly importante and can even save us. It's about finding the possitive side of every pain, and remembering that everything happens for a reason. This movie is all about faith and good spirit. Everytime I talk about it, or start remembering its parts, I feel a deep wish to see it again. And I don't think I will ever get tired of it. It is just beautiful.
15
Amadeus (1984,  R)
Amadeus
I'm in awe. I love classical music and I loved the movie since it started. From the moment in which the flashbacks begin, with the perfectly achieved setting and that music, my God, from that very moment I lost myself. It was a sort of trip for me. I cannot even describe it. This is amazing.
16
Manhattan (1979,  R)
Manhattan
I loved it! It is great, it's perfect. The story is so simple, so common, so everyday problems about love and life. The dialogues are just genius!!! Seriously I think I've never seen a movie in which all the dialogues were this brilliant. It is flawless. A real master piece.
17
Shrek (2001,  PG)
18
Alice in Wonderland (1951,  G)
Alice in Wonderland
Definitely not a movie for children. You can appreciate it so much more if you watch it being a grown-up. Interesting concepts and great dialogues!!! Visually fantastic!!
19
High Fidelity (2000,  R)
High Fidelity
This is one of my favourite movies. I saw it for the first time some years ago, and last saturday I watched it again. And I realized something: probably, if you have to categorize it, you would say it's a romantic-comedy; but that was something that I noticed last saturday, because I didn't have the memory of that in mt head. All I could remmeber was the fabulous music, and talks about music, the great script and the marvellous characters. Behind all that comes the categorization of the movie. It's a totally out of the ordinary film, with a lot of simplicity. It's incredible, just great!
20
La Vie en Rose (La Mome) (2007,  PG-13)
La Vie en Rose (La Mome)
I've been wanting to watch this movie since it was first shown in theaters but I couldn't. Then I wanted it even more after reading two reccomendations that two friends send me. They both gave this film 5 stars and I can say I totally agree with them in every word. Everything in this movie is perfect. The music is, of course, marvellous. The actors made a really good job. And I specially like the way in which in events are shown. I know this is not the first movie with so many flashbacks and flashforwards, but this one uses them in a very interesting way. The ending of this film is incredibly beautiful. I couldn't think of a better one, it is just flawless, with that song (that I wish it would never leave my head) and that images. Sans Défaut
21
Sin City (2005,  R)
Sin City
Incredible image! It's a perfect comic on the screen. Great actors, great stories.
22
Secret Window (2004,  PG-13)
Secret Window
This is an excellent movie! Johnny Depp... do I really need to say how marvellous is he in this role? He can play anything well, but it seems that the roles in which he is a drogadict or a drunk or a maniac or something like that, are his stuff. The films creates a great atmosphere where you're all the time thinking that something is going to happen. It's a perfect thriller.
23
Big Fish (2003,  PG-13)
24
Finding Neverland (2004,  PG)
25
Mystic River (2003,  R)
26
Memento (2000,  R)
27
Tiempo de valientes (2005,  Unrated)
Tiempo de valientes
Another great Argentinian comedy. It is a little bizarre and very very funny. These two actors are great, and their roles are magnificent. It is an out of the ordinary movie, at least in Argentina, but at the same time it reflects a lot of the local issues. It's marvellous. You got to see this one!
28
Lost In Translation (2003,  R)
Lost In Translation
This is an out of the ordinary movie. It has few dialogues. All that happen to the characters are very well expressed by their faces and their actions. Scarlet and Bill are particularly good at doing so and the atmosphere seems to be perfect. It's a deep film in the sense that everything goes through the inside of the characters and it makes you feel it without needing them to say it.
29
Esperando la carroza (1985,  Unrated)
Esperando la carroza
This is THE classic of the Argentinian movies. It's hilarious. It shows you some typical families fighting for a typical problem. All the characters are so well defined. And by the way: the person that plays the role of the old lady is in fact a man, an Argentinian comedian, Antonio Gasalla. He does it pretty well, doesn't he? Anyway, you should really see this one.
30
La Suerte está echada (2005,  Unrated)
La Suerte está echada
This is one of the funniest Argentinian movies I've ever seen. It's so good!! The actors are great and the film is also sweet but not in a bad way. The plot is very good and very original. It's a comedy that really worth watching. I know it may not be easy to find this for all those people who are not from Argentina or south-America, but I suggest you should do your best to watch it. You won't regret it.

The Godfather, Part III (1990,  R)
The Godfather, Part III
I was kind of surprise to see that my friends had not liked this one like the other 2. I have to say I loved this movie!! First of all I love the fact that, as it was done many years after the 2nd one, the characters are older because of natural causes, not because of the make-up. Al Pacino makes a wonderful job. He's great in the first one, great in the second one and now great in this one, showing his soft and gentle side, the side of a man that wants to be loved and leave the ilegal bussiness and all the killing. The part of the Opera is just marvellous! They made a great paralelism with the bautism of the 1st. All that excellent music showing the transformation of Andy García, just like Al Pacino. This is an excellent film. The first one is still the best one, but this is great.
32
Volver (2006,  R)
Volver
Crazy, funny, unexpected and great movie this one!!! Carmen Maura's character is marvellous. It's incredible how the movie mixes serius problems and dramas with the weird spanish humour. It gives you surprises and just when you think that it explains you everything, you found something that Almodovar leaves to your imagination. Very very good film!
33
Frida (2002,  R)
Frida
The story of this Mexican painter is a really really sad one, and it is perfectly shown in this very good movie. I love the work they have done combining the paintings with the real scenes. The film is very colourful, just like her pieces of art. Salma Hayek did a good job and so did the other actors involved in the movie. The music is great. Everything is well combined and makes this a beautiful film.
34
Muertos de risa (Dying of Laughter) (1999,  R)
Muertos de risa (Dying of Laughter)
I cannot believe that non of my friends have seen this movie. And what's even more surprising is that not even one is interested in watching it.
This is simply the best film of one my favourite directors: Alex de la Iglesia.
It's incredibly funny. The plot is magnificent. The performances are great. And the ending is probably one of the best I've ever seen.
A history of fame and hatred as dark as many of de la Iglesia's movies but hillarious at the same time.
35
The Invisible Man (1933,  Unrated)
The Invisible Man
This is genius!! The effects are incredible for those times, they are impressive even today! And the movie is extremely clever. Everything has a brillant explanation. It is just a masterpiece. I'm astonished. Definitely a must!
36
Oldboy (2005,  R)
Oldboy
I'm sorry for those who don't speak spanish, but to describe this film I have to begin by using a very Argentinian word: PELICULÓN.
That's it. Now let's go the "serious" part of the review.
Dae-su was all his life a bit of a trouble-maker. Even being a grown up, with a wife and a daughter, he still drinks and ends up at the police station. He's kidnapped and the nightmare of his life begins.
This is a story of revenge, violence and a bit of love (a bit disturbing too). It is excellently directed and excellently performed. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about it. It's just fantastic. I loved every little detail and I don't think there would be a way of making it better.
And absolute must-see.
37
Gone Baby Gone (2007,  R)
Gone Baby Gone
It's been two days since I saw it and I cannot stop thinking about it. This film is just amazing. The changes in its rhythm make it something special and everything seems to be in its right place here. The performances, the direction, the script, the great adaptation of that indredible story!
Ben Affleck should really forget about acting (if that thing he does can be called acting) and start only directing. He did a wonderful job here. And his brother is a great actor, he proves it every time he can.
This movie is just astonishing. I didn't know the story so it was terribly shocking for me. I loved it.
38
Magnolia (1999,  R)
Magnolia
This is a great movie. The stories are all hard and it's amazing how they connect to one another. The perfomances are incredible. This film has a very good cast and even the ones that are not very well known, or that are known but are not good, do an excellent job here. I think this is the first time in my life I see Tom Cruise acting well. Also the soundtrack is really nice. And there is one particular thing that happens in the end that is amazing! You'll know what I'm talking about if you watched this, or when you watch it. The job of the director is just perfect.
