Every time I see a movie like this I wonder to my self, Would I rather be the teacher to inspire or the student who gets inspired? Other than that I learned that minorites hate each other just as much as any white racial group.
Poseidon Poseidon PG-13 3.0 Stars
I't been ages since I've seen a disaster movie and even long since I've seen the origional of this one. The sets were amazing and I called every death but one. Richard Drreyfuss stayed alive much to my pointing out many oportunities for his death.
Monsters vs. Aliens Monsters vs. Aliens Unrated No rating.
Monsters vs. aliens, I'm sold.
The Golden Compass The Golden Compass PG-13 3.0 Stars
This movie seemed to have been marketed towards children and that was so wrong. This movie had very deep subject matter. And if the movie felt like it was leaving lots out, well thats because it was based off the book "His dark materials: The golden compass"
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium G 4.0 Stars
an instant classic. I could watch this one over and over. After all, who doesn't love toys?
WALL-E WALL-E G 4.0 Stars
Took my whole family to see this. It kept the attention of my two year old. He even said "Uhoh" when the bad things were happening and cheered "Yay!" at the end. A cute movie for kids but also entertaining enough for adults.
I also loved the irony behind the ecological message in the movie about pollution and waste disposal when kids got a Wall-E watch for free that will be tossed away when the battery dies and end up in a land-fill.
But the movie was great.

Quite possibly the greatest movie ever! Big car chaces, crazy stunts and no romantic sub plot.

This would be my 2nd favorite Mad Max movie.
Waterworld 4. Waterworld PG-13 4.0 Stars
There really needs to be an extended edition of this movie on DVD already, Whats taking it so long? Despite the bad reviews it got, the movie really did make money.

This is a WARNING, not a recommendation. Avoid this movie, save your money for something better.

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2) Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)

The number one thing I love about Guillermo Del Toro's movies (other than he always kills someone and how freaking creative he is) is that he has such in-depth characters.

Depth, depth, depth!!!!!!!!! Not that the plot or story was lacking because, it was freaking amazing, but his characters seem to always come first. Del Toro is so great at spinning a perfect fairytale centered on his characters.

Gosh, it just made me so happy. It was even better than the first. Hellboy 1 was disappointing to watch at first, because of how much more I expected out of it, but afterwards became enjoyable for the charming characters, scenery and comedy. Hellboy 2 was perfectly well rounded (according to Guillermo expectations) to create new tension that you would have normally forgot about.

For instance I didn't expect the issue of Hellboy being a demon to be brought up again, or that he would end up destroying the world anyway. Great stuff!
The only thing that bothered me was that German guy in the suit and his annoying accent. And because I?m a goofy girl who loves Abe Sapien, well I don?t want to give anything away.
    Guillermo almost never disappoints me.

    Stargate: Continuum Stargate: Continuum

From the very beginning you can tell, this is gonna be classic SG-1. A great opening scene. The alternate timeline story was pleasantly twisted and not boring, like they often are when you know from the beginning that everything is gonna turn out fine. I was quite pleased with the way things went in that area.

Lots of great scenes, and lots of appearances from long past friends and enemies. My only quibble is Jack's screen time. I was expecting to see more of him. Jack had to be in this due to his history with Baal, but he didnt get the pleasure of fighting or bickering with him again. There was also a lack of screen time between Jack and Sam. I must admit I had high expectations in this area.

But, in the end far better than The Ark of Truth, and if this was an episode of SG-1, it would be the absolute best.

    Hancock Hancock

Hancock is exactly the kind of movie that I could watch over and over again.

I guess it could be called a "summer action movie" but it has that sort of unconventional "offness" and lack of absolute information that makes it so fascinating.

The beginning is fiery and Will Smith is as always very funny. As the story progresses it gets deeper and the inner conflict of his character is powerfult to watch.

He is the perfect idea of what an actal superhero would be like, mixed in with a very interesting past.

I can just tell you that it's very powerful and very small amount of things about this movie bothered me. There are some really great scenes too.

It gets 5 stars, just because I could watch it over and over again and never get enough.
I liked this one a lot.
