Lost Boys 2: The Tribe (2008, R)
I had been looking forward to this movie for years and years. I can?t say I was disappointed, but holy crap has times changed since the original. Lot?s of nudity and cheesy gore. I absolutely loved it! And perhaps that was the point-for us old school fans. I sure wouldn?t recommend it for a teenage audience and I?m pretty sure my mum wouldn?t have let me seen the original when it first came out if it was anything like this one. The only downside was Angus Sutherland-he was a rather annoying head vampire-he talks funny and that annoyed me, definitely not as cool as Kiefer. Also-check out the special features! |

Penelope (2006, PG)
Cute movie, full of fun colors, and very storybookish. I loved the way Edwards face would express what he was actually feeling when saying something like-will you marry me, and I Do. That was very funny, for some reason. In the end, I think there was probably more depth they could have gone into with the story, but the scenes were lovely and my gal didn?t get bored watching it. She also asked questions throughout which opened up discussions on morals and that kind a thing. So overall it was a very lovely movie. |
