By the time Rankin and Bass made this they must have been really scratching the bottom of the barrel for ideas having ridden Rudolph's success as far as possible. Still i can't help but like it, it's Rankin and Bass.
I love the Flintstones i own every episode, but there are way too many adaptations of A Christmas Carol. The fact that it's the Flintstones makes this one bearable.
This movie tries to answer the question that has puzzled mankind since it's conception. What do women want, nice guys or guys with money? I'm thinking the answer is guys who will sit thru a movie that addresses said question.
Three men and a baby and ten gallon hats. This re-telling of the nativity story as a western with cowboys instead of wisemen works pretty good despite the absurdity.
This is a very hard movie to rate. It plays like the Da Vinci Code of Sex but really it's more about human nature and our struggle to balance our need for love and our need for lust which makes it seem slow paced and pointless when it's really not.
