I am in love with movies, I recently discovered.
I love being taken to a new story at the click of a "play" button, and being involved enough in it that it can make you cry or laugh. It's difficult to explain, but movies rule my world. I'm a teenager with a considerable DVD collection already. :) Also, I'm sick of getting stupid messages on my page with little "widgets", and also the ones saying, "hey hun, you're beautiful, be my friend? how old are you?" I'm too young for you. Piss off, please. The only messages I even glance at are Liesebecke's movie suggestions (sorry if I spelled that wrong). Otherwise, I'm just here to make my lists and stuff. |

Titanic
PG-13
I know, I know, every girl in the world loves this movie, break the trend, right? WRONG! This movie is i.n.c.REDIBLE! Amazing. Really. Fabulous acting. Sad. I cry! The cinematography is just amazing. Oh my God. If you don't love this movie, go die. Seriously. This is my favorite movie, hands down. Nothing compares.
2.
Moulin Rouge!
PG-13
Another one of my most favorite movies ever! Okay, so I have a thing for mushy, sad romances with good music. So shoot me! Love. This.
3.
The Notebook
PG-13
I don't care what the stupid critics said about it, this is a great movie! Maybe not on the same rank as Titanic, but still very good.
4.
Chicago
PG-13
I LOOOOOOVE this movie! Another favorite! Great music. Good story. Fabulous acting! Love.
5.
Rent
PG-13
I like it a lot! Mom also thought this one was screwy. But I would consider it my most recent new favorite. I love the music and I love the various controversies. Very good. Wouldn't mind seeing the live version.
6.
Thirteen
R
Probably not a true portrayal of all 13 year olds, but the acting is amazing, and I soooo want this movie on DVD.

by AnneliesGreat adventure, I liked this movie very much. The end was not as I expected in the beginning. I like Kevin Spacey, great actor, and young Jim Sturgess as well.
Hey, you should really see this!

Etz Limon (Lemon Tree)
by AnneliesAlways interesting to watch a non-Hollywood movie. This one was made by Israel, France and Germany. It's about the conflict between Isareli's and Palestinians, seen through the eyes of a simple palestinian woman who happens to have a minister as a neighbour.
This movie is worth seeing, very colourful as well but less emotional as I expected. No dreadful scenes, which is good.Hey, you should really see this!

The 11th Hour
by AnneliesThis movie has the same goal as An Inconvenient Truth, to open our eyes to the environmental crisis we are dealing with. Even more than in Al Gore's movie the connection between the destruction of our globe and the increase of common diseases such as diabetes, asthma and cancer is explained. This explanation should really open our eyes because those diseases are affecting many of us (including myself). That these diseases can be reduced in connection with saving the earth from the global warming is something that isn't really clear to many. I didn't really think about it either before I saw the movie. This movie contains a lot of interviews with scientists such as Stephen Hawking and comes to the conclusion that there is a need of mentality change before the earth can be saved. A mentality change means that we have to see nature no longer as our property but as a living creature, which has rights. It sounds logic to me because nature LIVES, nature is not dead so it can never be a property. But that is the heart of the problem. People exploit nature and since the industrial revolution nobody ever asked questions.
As far as I understand the situation is hopeless since I cannot see the mentality of six billion people change withing ten years or so. Certainly not that of political leaders and capitalist leaders of big petrol and car industries, among others.
I wonder if the pretty face of Leo DiCaprio really helps?
Yes I am negative, we are doomed. See this movie anyway and make your own decision.Hey, you should really see this!
So many people on my friends list want to see this movie, that makes me glad. It should be seen. Shame on those who rated this movie as "not interested"!posted 52 days ago
