P.S. I Love You - PG-13 This was a very moving film -- I bawled like a big baby through out most of it -- but still would have appreciated a little bit more of a foundation for the relationship the couple had.

The movie opens with the couple on their way back to their apartment, arguing over something he said/didn't say at a family dinner. They kiss & make up but then the film jumps to his funeral. Even though it's apparent through out the rest of the film that this couple loved each other more than anything, I feel it would have been helpful even still, to see the relationship through the brain tumor diagnosis up to his unfortunate end. It would have had that much more of an emotional punch.

It's still an excellent film, though... Definitely a "Chick Flick"!!

Dancer in the Dark - R Well, the movie description is inaccurate. Selma (Bjork) is a Czechoslovakian immigrant and a single mother who unfortunately, is going blind. Her son suffers the same fate unless she can save up the money for his much needed surgery.

It's a moving film...just emotionally heart-wrenching...

Get Smart - PG-13 At first glance, I didn't want to have anything to do with this film but a co-worker let me borrow her copy and I'm really glad she did. It does start out feeling a little bit corny but once the story gets underway it's really not bad at all. Steve Carrell is just amazing and if you like his kind of humor, then you'll enjoy this film. The Incredible Hulk - PG-13 This version is 100 times better than the other one, "Hulk". Liv Tyler and Ed Norton have great chemistry onscreen... This is the way it should have been done the first time... November 9, 2008

Journey to the Center of the Earth (Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D) - PG I really wasn't interested in seeing this but I rented it for my son who begged me nearly to death. It wasn't all that bad but I certainly felt as if "something was missing" -- yet I couldn't tell you what that something was. It is definitely an adventurous movie with a few cheesy and overworked comical moments. Overall it was o.k...not the greatest, but O.k. November 9, 2008

The Strangers - R A film about being terrorized in the comforts of your own home...and it's supposedly based on actual events. It's not a horror nor is it gory. The "bad guys" are really creepy and I think anyone would have pissed themselves silly if this happened to them. November 9, 2008
