The Dark Knight
by TannerIf this movie was a woman I would lube up and fuck it. Holy shit!!!! Dare I say "best comic book movie ever"? I don't want to say to much about it for those of you that haven't had the opportunity to see it yet........I will say this though..........purchase a large soda at the theater just in case you need to take a piss during the film. You aren't going to want to miss a second.
Hopefully this is my movie review comeback. I've been away for a while and plan on making you lucky / blessed sheep laugh as often as possible. Until next time........See it, fuckers

The Dark Knight
by Ruben"Holy amazing movie, Batman!" - Robin (1960)
Wow... I'm speechless. What else is there to say? Utterly perfect. Everything expected from this film is accomplished. Believe all the hype. Bravo Christopher Nolan, Bravo! You have just accomplished to create the best superhero movie imaginable. Wait, is this film even classified in the superhero genre? Not to me. This film takes "superhero" to a hole new level.
The Dark Knight manages to surpass Batman Begins in every level imaginable. The characters in this film are all portrayed amazing. All the buzz surrounding the late Heath Ledger about a possible Oscar nod is a great probability chance. Some scenes he was in chilled you to the bone, others he was horrifyingly hilarious. He is THE Joker... say goodbye to Jack Nicholson's Joker. Though it's a shame of the fate he had... this film would have risen him a lot.
Other amazing performances are created by Aaron Eckhart, he completely shines as Harvey "Two Face" Dent. This film shows the rise and the fall of a hero by the portrayal of Dent.
"You Either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain" - Harvey Dent
This is the quote to define this film in one sentence.
Christian Bale replays his role as Bruce Wayne and Batman amazing as well. He still is the best Batman I have seen. This film is summed up by three characters. The one who comes out on top from these three in The Dark Knight clearly is Heath Ledger. Don't forget about other great performances by Gary Oldman, Maggie Gyllenhaal (tremendous improvement from Katie Holmes), Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine.
This is my second favorite film released in 2008 so far (the other being Wall-E). The Dark Knight is a way better film than Iron Man was, in my opinion (and that was considered the best comic book movie of all time). Now that this one has been released, in my opinion, it should claim that top spot previously held by Iron Man.
Don't expect to go to this film as a Batman movie for the kids, it is not. Leave those to the first four Batman movies. This one takes a huge step from the typical superhero genre and takes it up another notch. Compare this with Heat and The Departed, even The Godfather: Part II (one of my favorite movies). Please don't compare this with the silly Batman and Robin and Batman Forever, they are completely different, other than sharing similar characters. Those movies were horrible.
This film won't disappoint. My expectation were way high before watching it, and they were met. An amazing piece of entertainment. One of this year's best, I can tell. Greatly recommended.Believe the hype. This film surpasses every expectation held. A tremendous piece of work by Christopher Nolan. The best Batman movie released, and the best "superhero" movie released up to this point. Amazing! I don't even consider it a "superhero movie".

Hellboy II: The Golden Army (Hellboy 2)
by RubenEven better than Hellboy, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army is nonstop thrills from the get-go. From the cartoony start of the film, you know for sure that you're going to be in a great ride. Guillermo Del Toro did not disappoint, well at least he did not disappoint me. This movie had the right amount of comedy with right amount of action, mixing CGI within it. It works. My theater was roaring with laughter in some scenes, it kind of felt we were watching a straight comedy movie. The visuals in this sequel are breathtaking, better than the predecessor. It gives Pan's Labyrinth competition just from watching the visuals.
This movie is not as serious as the first one, this is more light-hearted. (For me, at least) The majority will love it, some will hate it. Couple's will love it, I guarantee you that.
And beware, you will crave beer when watching this film, I did. As a matter of fact, I'm drinking a Tecate while writing this review just for Hellboy because we all now he loves them. Right?Even better than its predecessor, Hellboy 2: The Golden Army will not disappoint. The year of the comic book movies keeps us giving the goods. Check it out!

Black Snake Moan
by GeorgeA very powerful movie. Astounding performances by Christina Ricci and Samuel L. Jackson. When I first heard about this movie, the only reason I wanted to see it was because I was thinking to myself, how do they make a movie about a girl being chained by a man? However I was very surprised with its turnout. Its a very strong movie in my opinion. I mean we have this girl who basically gets screwed by every male in her town. A mother who let her bf do something to her daughter at a younger age. Samuels wife cheating on him with his brother. Justin with his severe anxiety issues. It was a amazing motion picture, because he wanted to make someone feel good about themself beautiful in and out. The most touching performance would have to be when Christina confronts her mother in the grocery store, I mean that was just simply heart stopping. Christina has sure come a long way with her acting. She has just become even that more of something to watch and enjoy on the big screen, not to mention shes beautiful. I was hoping that Justin would not have a huge part, since I think hes such a terrible actor, but he actually did pretty ok, the movie made me feel sorry for his character and it worked. Samuel had that same attitude I won't take shit from no one, but this time it actually worked for once. Like a movie with unstoppable turns and just surpises out there, go watch this.
Enjoy Black Snake Moan :)

WALL-E
by GeorgeA very amazing movie by Pixar. Where as I am not that huge of a fan of their movies. I may have to start to become one since I was so much bewildered by this magical journey. About a robot who has been alone for 700 years and isn't alone anymore. Finds Eve a life long friend, and companion which quickly becomes a romantic interest. A truly touching and amazing motion picture. Join WALL-E on his quest to find out what he was really mean't for. Full of laughs, thrills and tears. Wall-E will be sure to keep you begging for more. 2008 Definitely has speed this year with the movies!

WALL-E
by RubenPixar has yet to let me down. Their newest film, Wall-E, proves that they're the leading producer of great quality films. All of their films are amazing, even Cars, which is my least favorite.
This film is stunning. Since the beginning, it takes hold of you all the way throughout the end of the film. Depicting morals that are clearly affecting us today, Wall-E will make you realize about certain events taking hold of our world. It's philosophical even, I noticed it throughout the film. Children will feel lost in this film, as they wouldn't understand the issues, but they will be happy just by seeing Wall-E the robot. All the kids in my theater loved Wall-E, and most were crying when *SPOILERS* Wall-E was dying.*END SPOILERS* The audience will get really attached to the characters. In the beginning their is no dialogue, but it works. Pixar took the risk, and it ended up being a great success.
Pixar has yet to fail me. This movie has made it to my favorites list, it is that amazing. Some will not like it because of its dark issues. It's no Kung Fu Panda, were the funniness is in your face all the time.
Wall-E is a beautiful piece of work, the visuals are breathtaking. Andrew Stanton, who directed Finding Nemo, knows what he's doing. Watch this film, you will not regret it. A+Pixar has proved us that they are the leading industry in producing great quality films throughout the course of the years since they started. Wall-E is no exception. It is amazing.
